Bernie isn’t a racist who cares about himself and his family to the exclusion of all else.
Liberals like you throw the term “racist” around so much with no proof or justification that you have rendered the term meaningless. If everything and everyone is racist, no one is racist. Congratulations. You have inoculated Trump from ever being a racist.

Actually that's an idea I've never considered because it usually means taking a vote away from someone I'd prefer. If there is a 3rd party candidate on the ballot that I like, that is something I might just do. Might be the first time I've ever voted Libertarian...
I learned my lesson. I gave my protest vote to Ross Perot in 1992.  In fact 20 million of us did. He still didn’t carry a single state, so Bill Clinton won with 43% of the popular vote. Let that sink in.

In what universe would you define assault on a child as non-violent?
I would, but I’m suspecting some wouldn’t.

Listen, I heard this shit in Wisconsin when this pencil necked geek democrat beat out Scott Walker. He promised to reduce the Wisconsin prison population by 50%. The problem is that 2/3rds of the 23,000 inmates have committed violent offenses. That means that some violent offenders would by math be let out. They are making justifications including decriminalizing some prior charges, doing away with parole revocation, and other things meant to minimize the specter of having bad guys let out the front door.

I can’t believe some of you guys and gals.

This just popped up as a headline:  A Pennsylvania Sexual Predator Physician Molested several generations of children, gets 158 years in Prison.

Some of you wouldn’t jail him.

Someone would do away with prisons. Someone else might think this is non-violent and think he shouldn’t be in prison. Someone said the “just evil” thing is a cop out.  Tell that to these victims, or the victims of Manson, John Wayne Gacy, a clown he molested and mutilated young boys and buried them in his crawl space, or Jeffery Dahmer, who ate his victims.

I knew a guy who was one of 3 owners of an investment company who created a $80mm Ponzi scheme. Each of them are in federal prison for 6 to 15 years. What else should we do with them?  Put on an ankle bracelet while they lounge by the pool for 10 years?

I’m starting to like Lucifer’s methods.

If the immigrant has skills and /or investment capital that benefit America than the number is whatever the number of quality applicants is.

If the immigrant is another parasite, bringing in disease, criminal, or has no,language or work skills that would insure they can pull their own weight, or there is no relative to sponsor and be responsible for them, then the number is zero.
Agreed. Since when is it racist to demand that people wanting to come to the US should be a net positive for our society, and not a drag on it?  Oh that’s right, since the community organizer destroyed every gain made in race relations over the last 50 years.

The “Beer Summit” in 2009 with the racist Harvard Professor and the cop was the first sign that this is getting fucked up. It only went downhill from there.

I also remember from school that cow farts play a large role in harming the environment. So I dedicated my life to remove the threat from cows one steak and burger at a time. But now I'm being told it's morally wrong to eat cows and it is now environmentally bad to eat cows. WTF? No wonder the majority of free thinking people don't but into the MMGW bullshit.
I’m with you. Let’s do this. Steak for dinner!

I suppose I think too simply.

The main byproducts of burning oil products, other than heat, is water and CO2. Water, well, that is just fine. And back in grade school, I was taught the miracle of photosynthesis, where green chlorophyll based plants combine water, sunlight, and CO2 to generate food and O2. O2, well, that is just fine as well.

So, if the burning of hydrocarbons drove up CO2 levels, why not would green foliage proliferate and prosper in the higher CO2 levels, absorbing the CO2 and generating O2?

It seems to me that God has given our fine planet a balancing mechanism.
Exactly. For people to claim to believe that humans are the primary direct negative influencer in climate somehow ignore the current God-given balance and oh, that giant ball of fire and energy 92 million miles away from this sphere that might have a say in the matter.

Where I’m sitting right now in the Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin there was a glacier a mere 7,500 - 25,000 years ago. At that time sea levels were so low that animals could cross a land bridge from Siberia to North America. Glacier retreat created the Great Lakes, depositing a quadrillion gallons of water in Lake Michigan alone.

But of course, my Ford F-150 is going to make us all die in 12 years, at least according to AOC and of course useful idiots like Ocasio-Steingar.

Just read up on Fraser Anning, an Australian who has started a Conservative party in Australia based on stopping Muslim immigration among other admirable things.

This video is strangely addicting.  :)

The only reason fossil fuels still dominate here is we subsidize them heavily. Of course, one thing I never understood. They pump oil in most places and the oil belongs to the people. The proceeds go into the national treasury and lower everyone’s taxes. Here it goes into private hands, despite the fact that in truth it belongs to all. Never did get that.

I’m sure you’re just trolling, Ocasio-Steingar, because you can’t be so stupid about this.

Let me know how “the people” are doing in the most oil rich country on the globe.  Go ahead, I’m waiting. I visited that beautiful country in the 1990s. Venezuelans were doing well. Now, doctors are doing surgery by flashlight, and people are eating out of garbage trucks. Oh, and if you visit, don’t bring your cat, Fluffy, because “the people” are eating dogs and cats to survive.

I am curious how you lay claim to all of the oil pumping equipment I see in the fields of southern Illinois, Indiana, and even Ohio. Did you pay for the equipment to extract it?  Did you discover it?  If not, how can “the people” own it?

https://www.forbes.com/sites/rrapier/2017/05/07/how-venezuela-ruined-its-oil-industry/#21482e57399d

The fact is, the government extracts more in taxes than the profits of nearly anyone else in the production stream. Certainly more than the retailer who allows us to pump it into our vehicles.

But go ahead, let me know how we “subsidize” oil.

I have yet to see any evidence of this.  And if workers can't pass a drug screen maybe the screen is the problem.  Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC, the fun part of ganja) is detectable at physiological inactive concentrations for an extended time after usage.  There are folks who can toke in the evening or on the weekend and be fine for work, but will be reactive for THC when they do so despite being sober.
https://www.denverpost.com/2018/03/25/colorado-auto-deaths-marijuana-use/

As for the tests, that’s all we need is to dumb down drug tests.

My evidence for the drug tests being a problem is from talking to manufacturing clients who have a very significant problem getting new employees who can pass a drug test. Whether your flying, driving, operating a lathe or a robot, employees need to be clean. An employer has no interest in having an employee who “should be ok” when a potential accident due to drug impairment could yield major and significant liability and workman’s comp exposure to the company.

One of my biggest problems in life is that I love irony.  And there is something wonderfully ironic in this thread.  The hallmark and necessary condition of "Communism" is one party rule with suppression of all other political activity.  There are states with very solid one party rule, and they are all very very firmly in the control of the GOP.

I have found that the terms "communist" and "socialist" are thrown about widely with little real wisdom simply to inflame.
We don’t currently have one party rule, but you can’t be blind to the fact that the left is pushing for just that.

There is a movement to pack the USSC being led by Eric Holder. The move to lower the voting age to 16 and allow non-citizens to vote is being led by democrat leaders in Congress.  The media has demonstrated that they are active advocates for one side and demonizers of the right. Conservative speakers are actively silenced on campuses and in the public square, or shouted down by people unwilling to hear a message different from their own. Conservatives are demonized across the societal spectrum, to the point that it is dangerous to life, limb and property to wear a MAGA hat or put a pro-Trump bumper sticker on our cars. The left is literally unwilling to coexist with conservatives. It seeks to silence, marginalize, and ultimately eliminate it.

Don’t tell me that those activities aren’t socialistic and driven by the desire for single party rule.

Legalize all drugs.  Dismantle the law enforcement agencies assigned to this task.
Bullshit. More kids died of opioid deaths in Wisconsin than died in traffic accidents last year. States that legalized pot are having all sorts of societal problems, including  steep rises in impaired driving, and lack of available workers who can pass a drug test. The dope heads are pushing this in Wisconsin now that we have a Democrat Governor again. If that happens we as a state are fucked.

O’Rourke entered the race today. Gag.
What could go wrong?  Don’t failed candidates for public office ALWAYS make the best democrat presidential candidates?  One rape allegation and he’ll have his ticket punched. Those things are resume enhancers for democrats.

That's probably a good thing.  Sometimes I read some of my old posts and hope nobody else ever read them.  I should never post before my morning coffee, or after 5pm (Happy hours), but I often do anyway.

But I don't think we should be too hard on good people like Azure, or even Asechrest.  Without them, it gets awfully dull around here.  Steingar, on the other hand . . . (just kidding Steingar).
Agreed.
