Oh my, those loud jets (F-15s) that did a flyover of the Bruins game at Fenway made some nervous

"literally, almost had a heart attack"

"that is the loudest I've ever heard them.  My heart is still racing"

bunch of marys

<sigh>

A contractor at my Church (a Baptist church), was finished with her inspection and said "Happy Holidays" are she was leaving.  I, of course, responded gently with "Merry Christmas"

If you are in a Christian church, why would you not say "Merry Christmas"?

https://www.cnn.com/2022/11/28/health/monkeypox-renamed-mpox

The WHO doesn't like "monkeypox" because it's "racist" and "stigmatzes" people.

I'm sooooo glad people are putting so much thought into words rather than, oh maybe, doing something productive.

Civil rights group sues DPH over alleged Google 'spyware

"The [Massachusetts] state Department of Public Health was accused of working with Google to “secretly” install COVID-19 contact tracing “spyware” onto more than 1 million Android smartphones."

"The New Civil Liberties Alliance, a Washington, D.C.-based nonprofit, filed a lawsuit this week in U.S. District Court on behalf of two Bay State Android users, who allege that a DPH contact tracing app was downloaded onto their phones on or around July 1, 2021, without their 'permission or awareness.'"

article in the 16 Oct 2022 Boston Herald:

"The Boston Public Health Commission and other Mass-and-Cass-area instituions are giving out pipes for for smoking crack and meth in addition to an array of other paraphernalia"

and people are wondering why neighboring areas are seeing an increase in litter containing crack pipes and other drug paraphernalia.

Spin Zone / Hey - great economic news...
« on: October 01, 2022, 08:48:47 AM »
or perhaps not.

"Consumers spent a bit more in August than the previous month, a sign the economy is holding up even as inflation lifts prices for food, rent, and other essentials.

Americans boosted their spending at stores and for services such as haircuts by 0.4% in August, after it fell 0.2% in July, the Commerce Department said Friday. The government’s report also showed that an in-flation gauge closely monitored by the Federal Re-serve rose 0.3% last month, faster than July."

um.  Inflation is up and up.

If consumers bought the same amount of stuff each month, with higher and higher inflation, wouldn't consumer spending increase?  not because of increase purchases but simply because everything costs more.

As our economy craters (thanks to the 20,000,000 zombies that voted democrat as well as the clown's AWESOME plan to fight inflation), I'm just wondering how low the Dow will get...

Spin Zone / hmmmm, media bias? nah
« on: September 27, 2022, 05:56:13 AM »
letter to the Boston Herald today (27 Sept 2022)

We have a man in North Carolina that runs over and kills an 18-year-old man because he believed he was a Republican and not only is he let go on low bail but the mainstream media gives it “zero” coverage. Can we imag- ine the coverage it would have received if he was wearing a MAGA hat and ran over a Dem/ woke person? They don’t even try to hide it anymore.
