The coach for the Collegiate Charter School of Lowell girls basketball team ended the recent game against Lynn’s KIPP Academy at halftime, forfeiting the contest after his third player got hurt."

Not isolated.  An acquaintance coaches girls highschool soccer.  His daughter got wiped out (injured) by a guy playing on the girl's soccer team.  Not the first time that guy injured a girl.

Also these have rather different implications in terms of possible solutions to the problem.

of course, if the number of mail-in ballots was less than the margin of victory for <whoever>, then it doesn't matter whether or not the mail-in ballots were secure, does it...
