Establishment RINOS and other weak-kneed republicans can bitch all they want about the 15 ballots needed to elect RINO mccarthy as Speaker,
but the BIG news is the agreement to add THREE members of the Freedom Caucus to the House Rules Committee.

Those ignorant of the process had no idea (and most still don't) why that is important.

THREE "no" votes kills any bill from going forward. mccarthy fought that to the last second (literally with 39 seconds to go before the house adjourned
until Monday at noon, because it allows conservatives and other NON-communist-controlled house members to stop the never-ending bribe machine
funneling thru the ukraine.

mitch mcconnelll can't send billions to our enemies without the house going along and those three members are the only stop sign to the bribe process.

Another big rule concession by mccarthy was a rule change allowing a no-confidence vote on the speaker with just one member putting it forward.

While rank-and-file rinos, and other uninformed whiners complained all week, the four members with backbone stood up as long as it took to add at
least some accountability to a brutally corrupt house.

A young man pulls up to a burger joint drive up window...

The lady at the window asks, "how may I help you sir?" to which he replies, " I wanna give you a heads up that there is a woman in your parking lot offering her services for a junior burger with cheese and a small order of fries".

She says, "thank you sir, I will let my manager know. Now may I take your order?"

"Yes", he says, "I'll have a junior burger with cheese and a small order of fries".

Maybe, just maybe we let the election play out and see what happens. I mean we're all such experts.

I don't think there's anything wrong with speculating and creating discussion.  After all this is a discussion forum.    ;D

The communist left notwithstanding, maybe 2023 will be better as people are starting to realize something is wrong with the direction the scumbag left is leading America.

I am intentionally positive about the new year because the lunatic communist democrats have so radically overstepped in 2022. Something has to give.

Therefore, May 2023 takes us in a better, stronger, more successful, and freer direction, and may all freedom loving Americans experience a better life in the coming year.

If you are a communist pretending to be democrat, may you have the blinders ripped from your eyes and learn how to be honest with yourself about how you’ve let the sick freaks of the left manipulate you into stupidity, depravity, and intentional blind ignorance.
Well said.

My optimism is coming from who was voted to be the chair of the Wisconsin GOP, Brian Schimming. Politics starts at the local level, and this is where the fix has to start.

“As reported by Just the News, new Wisconsin Republican Party Chairman Brian Schimming has said in a number of interviews over the past week that he wants to focus on early voting and raising money ahead of the spring ’23 election. Wait a minute. Does Schimming sound like a Democrat? Yes. Does sounding like a Democrat make Schimming wrong? No. Why not? Because if the Republican Party doesn’t learn to play the Democrats’ election season game, Republicans will continue to lose close elections. Reality bites, huh?”

There is no good alternative to Trump except another billionaire conservative who would wish to subject himself and his family and his businesses to the lies and vitriol of the left.

No other seriously patriotic conservative likely would do that. We’re at the point where a true leader to take us out of this downward spiral will have to be outside the swamp, completely.

Plus, we have to stop talking about whether Trump could win or not. Elections mean nothing until we ALL get off our backsides and start spending much of our time investigating our local elections and pressing relentlessly for our states to end mail-in voting.

It’s my belief (hope?) that if what some of you are discussing regarding people waking up actually happens, the biggest reveal will be that the left’s attacks on Trump really are attacks on America and Americans.

For what insurance, and more expensive than where?
Yeah, windstorm insurance is more expensive, as is flood insurance.
And car insurance is kind of expensive because of all the New Yorkers crowding our highways and driving like, well, like New Yorkers.

I was told that auto is high because many uninsured.

Under the current constitution Musk cannot become the U.S. president.

Under the current Constitution we're supposed to protect our borders, not infringe on gun rights, not force people to buy health insurance....

Should I go on?   ::)

I'm not exactly sure what all of your objections are.  Is it the amount of money we are spending?  I consider that as a small, selfish investment for ourselves.  If Russia fails here that will strengthen our hand against Iran and China.

Is it Ukraine's involvement with Hunter Biden?
Or perhaps it is just the fact that Biden and the Dems are for it so you have to be against it?

Is it the incorrect use of the word "Democracy"?  Perhaps what they are striving for isn't actually Democracy.  Democracy isn't right for everyone.  In fact, it isn't right for us either.  But if they survive this in any form, they are bound to be a friend of the US and indebted to us, and we need all the friends we can get.

So convince me what you see as a problem with our support here.  My only worry is that we have gone this far already.  If we pull back now, we will look even worse than we did withdrawing from Afghanistan.  And my biggest objection to Biden (in this regard only) so far is that he has given them too little, too late.  If he had shown some backbone in January this whole fustercluck  may not have ever happened in the first place.  Biden has done NOTHING else that I could defend to any degree.
$100 Billion - 1/10th of a Trillion - is a small, selfish “investment”?  And that “investment” is going to a dictator. See anything wrong with that?

First objection:  FTX.  We found out that much of our taxpayer money going to Ukraine came back to the Democrat party.

Second:  We don't necessarily want Russia to fall too much as a country.  Too many nukes to end up in a fractured, failed nation. Russia needs to remain a superpower.

Third:  While I was fine helping Ukraine defend Kiev, they need to give up Donbas.  Time to negotiate a settlement, Russia will take it.  Russia knows Kiev ain't gonna happen and they need an off ramp to save face.  But Zelensky won't do it as long as we keep sending him money.

Fourth:  Ukrainians dying to defend Kiev and the nation is one thing, continuing to die defending Donbas for months and years is quite another.  Half of Donbas population wants to be in Russia anyway.  Negotiate to keep Odessa, and end the war.  If Zelensky cared about his people that's what he would do.

I really doubt that.  I'm thinking he meant a smaller airplane.
Or a different educational institution.

Either way, it’s nice to see a self-immolating leftist start to feel the burn.

Without secure elections - AND THEY ARE NOT! - not in the cheating mail in Dem districts - the government is ILLEGITIMATE.  The election certification is illegitimate.  We in essence don’t have a country.  Nevermind what Trump said about the Constitution.  The Constitution was totally trashed by the Dems FIRST.  Now the Dems make a big deal about a Trump social media post about the Constitution.  Fuck you, Dems, you are the ones who trashed it, not Trump. Go to hell.

The wrong that must be righted is that the Constitution already has been overthrown. Not that he wants to overthrow it.

As well, all this attention on his supposed awful suggestion is bringing out the usual suspects clutching their pearls in horror at the thought of touching the sacred Constitution while mere months ago they were questioning the same Constitution and wanting to do away with it.
