Spin Zone / Re: Election 2020

Keep holding it then.  I don't think there is a path to do anything about it.  Despite all the apparent cheating, there is no legal path to change any of it.

The election was certified, the question is to what standard (the answer is no standard).  Constitutionally, it's a legal election, even if it was underhanded.  That means all the officials correctly and constitutionally hold their office.

The only paths to remove the president is via impeachment or the 25th Amendment and that will leave you with Kamala.

The only path to removing Congressmen is expulsion by their respective houses.  Anyone want to hold their breath that Democrats would do the right thing and eject a member Democrat who was elected via fraud.  You will never shame a Democrat into fixing this.

You can take this to a court, but in doing so you'd be asking a judge to create law, something Republicans rightly complain about frequently.

In short, there is no remedy to make the cheating whole and there is apparently no will to even identify people responsible for it and therefore no path to punish anyone.

My take is that you can expect them to be bolder next time.
Why do you jump straight to what the Democrats think we expect?

Biden isn’t going anywhere.

But “doing something about it” for the vast majority of us means arresting, prosecuting, adjudicating and imprisoning those people who tampered with our sacred voting process.   I would think 80% of Americans could get behind that.

Holy shit.

I'm saving my holy shit for when they will actually do something about the fraud. I'll believe it when I see it.

Totally agree.  If you can get it up for a guy, you're not just heterosexual, your Bi or Gay.
TMI in this thread.

I’ll make it simple. My wife doesn’t understand that
I want to vomit when I see two men kissing, but not with two women kissing.  This is a nearly universal reaction for guys.

I tell her with women, men are just hoping to be invited to the party.

End of story.

Wow. I haven’t heard about that. Here in the U.S., waving American flags and demanding freedom is enough to have you declared a domestic terrorist by the Democrats, so I can’t imagine they’d support them, just like they didn’t support the ones doing that in Hong Kong.

A week or so ago Gettr launched a new social media site to compete with Twitter. They even claimed that you could import your Tweets into their site until Twitter turned around and blocked that claiming they owned that content while also claiming that you owned your Tweets.

The Fed doesn’t take direction from any president.  Trump might have told them to fuck off, but they still did whatever they liked.

The Fed didn’t raise rates because they felt the economy was growing at a good rate.  It had nothing to do with what Trump said.
That’s naive. I never said there was a direct reporting line on an org chart. I said the Fed is influenced by politics. Prove me wrong.

Political pressure and economic reality can motivate the Fed.  It's naive to think otherwise.  In the real world they should have already raised rates.  There's only one reason they haven't.

Seen a black lives matters group feeding poor, underprivileged children?
Teaching young black men to be good fathers and husbands?
Helping clean up the ghettos torched by the rioters?
Volunteering as big brothers/big sisters?
Actually working at improving their neighborhoods?

Doing anything other than rioting, burning, whining, bitching, lying, or attacking anyone that dares not pretend to agree with them?

Just asking for a friend...

Those activities are not profitable.  In fact they often cost money.   BLM is only interested in Extorting hundreds of millions of dollars so they can use it for personal gain and buying influence.  All others pound sand.

Image posting hint. Add a width attribute to the IMG tag to control the sizing. Inside the opening brackets, it should say.   IMG width=800     Example

The number can be anything you want, this one is 500

They did it to Sheryl Atkisson and the senior DC correspondent from Fox News, James Rosen whom I also really like.

It isn't the FDA that is deplatforming anyone, nor any medical agency that I'm aware of.  That's being done by Leftists who operate their lives out of fear, jealousy and guilt.  If you conflate the politics of the Left wanting to control with the ineptness of large bureaucracies, then I can understand confusion on the matter, but really they're different things.

No, it's gone well past trial into use.

Long term...is long term.  Nobody really know what the impact of any particular new treatment is long term, because it's new.  However there are no indications right now of any issues and I'd like to think that if there were, they would have started to manifested by now.

There's no question the vaccines work.  There's roughly 4100 breakthrough cases out of 150 million fully vaccinated people - 0.002% or 0.00002.

Historically, there has never been a vaccine that had hidden effects that didn't show up in at least some of the population within a year.  If there are long term effects, we should have seen some kind of trend by now, but there's just nothing there.

Is that proof of a negative?  No, a negative cannot be proven and there will never be proof of no long term effects...unless you want to define how long "long term" is and wait for that time to pass.  However, it is showing that nothing has happened yet and that's the best that can be accomplished right now.  Unless you're going to go to conspiracy and insist that the reason we can't see that there's nothing there is because it's all been hidden from us by "them".

I've worked in govt jobs in the past.  Trust me, nobody in the government is interested in hiding anything because nobody want to put their job or retirement at risk.  You can barely get those people to do their jobs, let alone get them to be involved in a massive conspiracy that magically never leaks.  I mean, 3 people knew about Monica Lewinsky and Bill Clinton and two of them were involved in the act.  That still leaked.  A government trying to hide all the evidence of a vaccine problem?  No, there are way too many people involved.

Medical agencies have been complicit in downplaying or covering up alternative treatments and vaccine side effects.

Politics of the left and ineptness of large bureaucracies? Check. They richly have earned our distrust. Huge factor in falling in with anything coming down the pike from them for years to come now.

Yes, it’s new. But it’s not a “treatment.” It’s not even technically a vaccine.

“No indications of any issues?” Have you not been looking at all sides of this thing, including the many doctors and journalists putting their careers on the line to speak out? Have you not read any of the links in this very thread and in other threads about the effects showing up and the shifting narrative generated therefrom?

For you to say that “there’s nothing there” shows a level of two-dimensional thinking and lack of research.

My iPad is stuffed with links and videos and my husband and I discuss this issue endlessly. We are not fools. You may say I should not trust what I’m reading but if you did, you’d be dismissing actual experts in the field of virology and medicine.

I’m very surprised you’d say repeatedly in your post that “there’s nothing there.” There is.
