Yes, I do recall someone from the left trying to make a felony out of anyone who even challenged MMGW in public. Voice a conservative opinion - go to jail. I won't google it, but I recall that was an actual serious investigation.

Has anyone else suddenly seen a plethora of Black Rifle Coffee Company ads on various web sites and search engines?
I don't even remember clicking on the link, but I may have.

I like this comment on a different article. <>  Does anyone really believe this crap.

If it had been a ratings hit, they would have renewed in an instant. The only reason it got a 13 week shot was the title character. Most new or reboot pilots only get 4-6 bites at the apple. I'm a bit surprised they put 13 in the can, but the musings of network ad execs is not exactly differential equations.

As a nation, we've been moving ever left for more than 40 years. Of course, Roe v Wade was a big example, but there are many and varied other conditions which show a gradual but inevitable slide to the liberal, progressive, left. NTTAWWT. I don't mind liberalism when it is presented as a main-stream philosophy among other main-stream philosophical means to manage large populations. Some of the ideals of the liberals have been good - exactly like Roe v Wade(as much as I deride the method, the means were correct).

Where I got off is when the progressives are no longer willing(or able?) to ALLOW, and I use that word correctly, alternative philosophies to exist. I am gobsmacked that liberals in position of power consider themselves, and their movement as open, inviting, and tolerant of other POV. When the opposite is exactly the face shown by nearly all liberal/progs. They become vicious, angry, confrontational, strident, and violent in the face of conservative opposition of ANY ideal.

Which strikes me as so strange that the lib/progs can't see it! 'Trump is gassing women and children at the border!!!' Yeah - it's the same thing Obama did. 'Trump is taking kids away from families and locking them up!!!' Yeah - so did the past 20 administrations. 'Trump is Putin's puppet because he talked to him during the campaign!!!' Ok, but Obama was caught on a open mic telling him he would have more freedom after the election. WTF? It pains me to defend Trump, with all his warts, but at least the guy is always, always, always pulling for the US, and not trying to take our country down a peg or two.

Naturally, there has been an uprising from lib/progs who have had enough. The outpouring of the Walkaway movement has NO counterpart with conservatives leaving in anger from their party and joining up to the opposition. Under the constant social, political, educational, and media onslaught of liberalism, it's become a literal cult. People who leave are vilified, ostracized and in this case they are divorced because someone is not liberal, or in one case liberal, but not angry/strident/outraged enough!

It's effing ridiculous. And no, there is not even a scintilla of commonality from the conservative/right side. About the worst we have is Nugent, and he's pretty strident. But on a case for case basis, the scales of extremism falls to the libs/progs by a large margin.

This guy reminds me of a 6YO kid who has his classmates over but won't let them touch his toys, or have a cupcake - "NO, It's MINE and YOU CAN'T HAVE IT. So neener, neener, neener".

Sorry, but you'll not draw me into the equivalence battle. Speak to the point. I'm. making. The OP's article shows evidence of unreconcilable political animosity. Do you deny that some of the folks on this very board exhibit the same? Could you be married to a communist with a mental disorder? Then for what reason are the sentiments in the source article so shocking, other than that they do not conform with your (general "your") political views?

Fine. Advocate that the views expressed in the OP are bullshit. I get it, I barely got through the first one and rolled my eyes nearly out of my skull. But let's have the cojones to admit that the unreconcilable differences are peppered on both sides of the dividing line.

It is a battle of non-equivalence, even if you aren't interested in participating, that does not mean it isn't important. The levers of govt are controlled by the most part by conservatives. the levers of social justice are nearly completely controlled by liberals. If you refuse to see the dichotomy involved in the frustration of the lefties who are nearly powerless, and are taking out on everyone but themselves, it's ok with me. Yes, there are conservatives here who are pretty strident. But the difference is that the aren't the majority, nor do they consider extra-judicial means to subvert the republic. Look at the several threads started recently about the POA and their adamant refusal to let people have anything but liberal viewpoints. We have conservative voices being silenced on twitter, FB, and youtube constantly. No one on the right would ever consider using their power to silence opposing views. Another example is NPR. The admin is decidedly to the right, but NPR is still spewing prog puke. We also have dept heads in govt which are working against everything the voting public decided to support. "Not my president". "By any means possible". Liberals do not want, and will not allow public debate, that does not conform to liberal principles.

You're surely welcome to do it for hours. But what a waste of money. And your list of quoted celebs and media whores would represent a rounding error in comparison to the total number of regular, ordinary husbands and wives who identify as left-of-center.

I have absolutely no desire to talk about false equivalence, or which side is worse, or which side started it. My point is that the political animosity represented in the posted article should come as NO SHOCK to the folks on this very board who have no will, desire, or ability to consider those who are left-of-center as anything other than a faction of deranged citizens who have a mental disorder.

So provide six examples where a deranged conservative just could not stand a partner who was either liberal, or not conservative enough. Trust me or not, the manufactured outrage meter for the lefties is almost always begged at 11. This thread is but one example. I gave some additional when challenged. I'd like to see an example of conservative students who are defecating on patrol cars. Rioting when a liberal speaker is invited to  offer their POV. Find and post a few conservative media voices who actively call for the death of their political rivals. I recall Nugent talking about some liberal activists as coyotes, and advising that it would be best if we kept a gun handy just in case. Aside from that, the vitriol from conservatives is awfully mild compared to holding the bloody stump of the presidents head for a photo op.

Mueller. What a worthless hill to make a stand on for Flake. No one in the Trump admin, or the congress, or senate has made one move against Mueller.  It's all a bunch of noise and smoke.

"Basket of deplorables".

"Conservatives can come along, but they have to sit in the back of the bus."

Bee: "Ivanka Trump is a feckless cunt."

Behar: "It’s one thing to talk to Jesus,” Behar said. “It’s another thing when Jesus talks to you. That’s called mental illness, if I’m not correct — hearing voices."

Maher: "Sarah Palin, well - she's just a cunt. There's no other way to describe her"

I can do this for hours.....

I actually watched the first half of the first and second shows. It was all recycled hate Trump/conservatives.  guessing the writers were given open season on all things not-progressive. Bore-fest.

Spot on. By the way, you weren’t the resident PhD that I was speaking about.

My father-in-law had one from Michigan State. He taught in the College of Education at Illinois State University. He was embarrassed if anyone called him “Doctor” outside of the classroom.

On the other hand I’ve seen people on LinkedIn who have a PhD from a correspondence university (seriously) who insist on calling themselves “Doctor so and so” in their bio, even if they are not in academia and their Piled Higher and Deeper is in something like Marketing.

Cool, I figured that.

Ya see, it's kind of tough either way. Once it's out there, some folks want to resent it. Others will try to bait, and try to find a weakness to exploit. In fact, some of those kind of people are right here on this forum. OTOH, I think it's something to be respected. It takes a shit-load of work to get those letters. The only time I use a prefix is when it's in academic context, and never use 'doctor' only professor.

Wait. We were told by our resident PhD that PhDs are smarter than most anyone and their vast intelligence applied in pretty much any other aspect of life and society.

I have one. And have suffered j'accuse here on this forum for being someone who knows too much. Best to not make a stink about letters and pigskins. I learned a TON more outside the classroom than inside.

"AK47" grind.

lolz.

I'm going to see about franchise costs. BTW, I had a cup of Army coffee back in 1973. I can still taste it.

https://www.blackriflecoffee.com/pages/become-a-franchise-owner  If anyone else is interested. Still no franchises, but they are probably on the cusp.

Tell me about it.  But my wife isn't stupid.  In fact, I'd say she is borderline genius.

I love my wife.
I respect my wife.

But the only reason we haven't divorced is that I stopped saying anything to her even tangentially positive about Trump.

But come 2020 . . .

There are a lot of brilliant liberals.

Just ask them.

Sadly, many brilliant geniuses are some of the most stupid people on the planet. I used to hang out with a bunch of nuclear PhDs. some of the smartest people in the world. I'm guessing many of them were liberal. They didn't understand jack-shit about economics, business, social policy, Marxism, dependence or sovereignty, etc. But - they could design the hell out of a Tokamak reactor. (not that it ever worked as intended)

http://voxday.blogspot.com/2018/11/is-there-nothing-he-cant-do.html

Some women are even divorcing their liberal husbands because they’re not liberal enough!

:D :D :D

I read those six stories. Just - wow. the judgmental tone, and stridency of position on the left was revealing. Not only was the right side wrong, but they were also not worth consideration. It's scary how stupid people can follow a liberal ideology with all the two-faced lies.
