Spin Zone / Re: Morten Storm Predicts US Terrorist Attacks within 2 Weeks

Former terrorist and CIA double agent made this claim on Megan Kelly's show tonight:

(May need to look for his interview on this page.)

Unfortunately, I watched that Morten Storm link before trying to sleep last night.  He really sums it up well, I think.  And he should know.

I thought Bridge of Spies was very well done.  It was interesting to see the beginnings of the U2 mission.  A pilot once told me he knew a U2 pilot who fell asleep at cruise.  When he woke up, the plane had gently landed itself in a field.

Oh, I can take the belittling.  It is just that when I agree with you on opinion, I hate the fact that our point is made to look ridiculous by your obtuse name calling.  You sound a little bit like a Florida Cracker junior wannabe.

This site was founded to allow the kind of belligerency that you express, so you are perfectly safe in continuing.  But I am also safe in telling you that you weaken your point when you make yourself sound ignorant and devoid of real supporting arguments and have to resort to bullying.
Well said.  I start to skip over the posts of people who toss out insults.  Also, there's a rumor that 7 is indeed Florida Cracker.   :)

I'm seeing all over the place that you can't consider the refugee issue to be at all connected with Paris.  Refugees are just people like you and me!  And certainly you and I would try to flee a war-torn, violent country!

NASA has failed in its mission to make Muslims feel good about themselves.

The liberal War on Civilization has opened the doors wide for the invasion of the obsessed Islamics.

No disrespect, but I used to call that song The Slow Boat to China.  It's like a brain worm.

I liked what Rubio said about being the party of the future.  I wish they had left out the questions about Hillary.  She deserves no airspace.

Still favoring Carson because he actually thinks, and doesn't thrust himself forward.  I always have been suspicious of candidates who Want It Too Much.

Ah, impeachment.  Remember when it actually meant something?

Well, crap.  I did say I was cursed with a gene that makes me want to see all sides of things.  But I don't have time to be a Biblical scholar.  So I'll just keep on trying to make sense of the world I see, and keep an eye on the other side of it.  As I've said before, I had two experiences that sealed the deal for me when it came to believing we're in a guarded universe.  So I feel obligated to believe, and for lack of a better term, I believe in God.  It also seems right to be an honest, helpful, loving person.  Like so many things, religion can be used for good or bad.  Also, as an English major, I learned pretty quickly that one can defend pretty much any thesis.  If someone wants to prove Jesus is a myth, it can be done.  It just may not be true.

Is this the beginning of the end of Christianity? "Probably not," grants Atwill, "but what my work has done is give permission to many of those ready to leave the religion to make a clean break. We've got the evidence now to show exactly where the story of Jesus came from.

Although Christianity can be a comfort to some, it can also be very damaging and repressive, an insidious form of mind control that has led to blind acceptance of serfdom, poverty, and war throughout history. To this day, especially in the United States, it is used to create support for war in the Middle East."

Atwill encourages skeptics to challenge him at Conway Hall, where after the presentations there is likely to be a lively Q&A session. Joining Mr.Atwill will be fellow scholar Kenneth Humphreys, author of the book "Jesus Never Existed."

A tad skewed, but hey, he set out with a goal.  That will be a lively Q&A session, indeed.   The Gospel accounts of Jesus' ministry have long been acknowledged by scholars as being different from one another, with huge gaps and disparities in time, especially pertaining to Jesus' ministry in Judea.

I had totally forgotten about that bizarre dictate of Obama's to the Director of NASA to "make the Muslims feel good about themselves."

Just watched the YouTube video of that interview.  Painful.

Somehow I got on the AOPA e-mail list.  This caught my eye today.

So we saw The Martian this weekend, and I have been thinking about NASA.  Are they doing monumental things these days?  Do we still have large groups of highly-skilled people actually cooperating to do monumental things?  Has PC infiltrated NASA so that technically unqualified people are hired, kind of like a certain percentage of ingredients in a processed food can be non-organic, but still labeled organic?

One of our EAA members is alive today because Mooneys are fast.  He had a heart attack while the group was cleaning up a remote airstrip.  The decision was made to get back to the biggest hospital(with cardiac unit), not the closest rural one.  My husband said it was the longest 20 minutes of his life as he sat next his friend.  The ambulance was waiting and later the doctors said that 15 minutes later, our friend would have died.  Happily, he has cashiered at the last three pancake breakfasts since then, and is building a plane.  I like Mooneys.   :-*

I heard an analyst on NPR say that Hillary has a real challenge because historically voters do not elect the same party three terms in a row.

However, I heard about this Texas caucus fraud in 2008, and have been following it.  Real people, Democrats, who were on scene at the time and were told to leave the building; when they came back, votes had been altered.  Their position is that without that interference, Hillary would have won Texas.
