I say you and other successful blacks prove that blacks in general don't need welfare any more than whites do.  But the truth is that there are too many people of both races that are on welfare that don't need to be.

The fact that you and other blacks are successful is a positive and hopeful sign.  But the shame is that there are going to be people that believe at least part of your success is due to affirmative action and quotas rather than skill and ability.

Liberalism is also responsible for keeping poor people poor and for pitting the classes against each other.  And liberals are responsible for trying to destroy the careers of many successful conservative blacks.  Liberals like to blame "greedy rich white people" for keeping poor people poor, but those (greedy rich white) people are only responsible for making themselves rich.  Except for the criminal element that exists in all classes, those rich people aren't the reason poor people are poor.

Frankly, I don't want to live in a society where my neighbor is in abject poverty, yet I don't think AA is still the best way. It was a good band aid and brought some attention to the issue but it has its downfall. I think it's outlived its usefulness.

I'd like to see all welfare are go away too but only way that's going to happen is in a real free market economy that allows fair competition. Government is too far into business and working against real progress. There are also evil people who egg this on. They need to go.

I've read about several initiatives to get STEM and Computer training into classrooms where there is a high black concentration.  This is all private activity.
 
I also personally donated time to a majority black HS and have a few friends that do the same (at other HSs).

Prayer time is actually scheduled.  There are charts and calendars that can be found that tells the exact time when you should have Salat for each latitude on the Earth on any given day.  It is calculated based on the Earth-Solar relationship.  If there was an open line of communication, this should have been communicated and agreed to.
 
OTOH, this is where I break with traditionalist on prayer.  It is a very hardline approach to stop everything to break for prayer.  I don't agree with implementing halt-ops in a manufacturing environment where you are a very small minority.  It is selfish and unfair.
 
As a Muslim you have the option to forgo the prayer altogether or make it up later.  They should have given great consideration to one of these options.

Thank you for explaining that.  I thought you were joking but see that you were not.  I agree, based on what you stated that it is a well-thought out design.
