Heard on the news (sorry no source) yesterday that the mortality rate if admitted to the hospital with Covid was 25% in March, it is now down to less than 7%.

Wonder why we aren't hearing more about that.

If you were only obese or only had diabetes and died of Covid then you’d be in the 94% group. So I don’t see the 6% number as particularly telling.

At the peak death rate about 40% more people were dying per week from all causes than in previous non-Covid years.

No, the 94% had on average 2.6 co-morbidity factors.

I'm so disappointed in how Texas has handled this.  People here (Williamson County) have lost there minds.

Don't forget that online courses are an option (albeit with their own set of problems)

Online high school classes are an absolute joke.

I teach high school Engineering/Aviation/Aerospace.  My Tango Flight Program (www.tangoflight.org) is in 11 high schools around the country.  Every one of them is shut down for the remainder of the school year.  However, all are currently planning to open in the fall.

My local school district went to online classes in March (right after spring break).  To call it a joke would be a huge understatement.  I did better than most teachers, but only averaged about 70 percent of my kids doing ANYTHING.   

We just received word this week that we must pass every student.  Unless we can document a ton of different ways that we called parents, students, counselors, principals, etc.  then we have to pass the (entire semester is credit only).

I  refuse to do it.  I passed everyone that put forth any effort, including a number that don’t deserve it, but I can not give someone credit that I have not even heard from since before spring break.  Maybe I’ll get luck and they will fire me.  It will save me having to decide if I’m coming back in the fall or not.

Best Rock drummer of tall time.  Had the privilege of seeing Rush several times.  The energy and talent of all of them was incredible, but Neil was on a level all by himself.

Huge amount of respect for his talent, and the way he handled himself through unbelievable tragedy in his personal life.

Interesting, I did a google search on "puppet master" and story after story from the MSM came back, all bashing Trump.  So we can assume the term "puppet master" is yet another liberal talking point and narrative.

And I just thought it was a Robert Heinlein novel...
