Lincoln County in Oregon has exempted non-white residents from a new order mandating mask-wearing in public in an attempt to counter racial profiling.

Members of the Minneapolis City Council  pledged to “dismantle” the city’s police department in the wake of worldwide protests over the killing of George Floyd.

Council President Lisa Bender joined several other members in promises to drastically change how public safety is upheld in the city.

“We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety,” Bender tweeted.

Best part

Bender told the Minneapolis Star Tribune that she envisions replacing a traditional police department with a broader, more holistic public safety department geared toward violence prevention and community services. Social workers or medics could respond to situations once handled by police, she said.

Maybe change the name to Utopia well they are at it.

Most elderly covid-19 patients put on ventilators at two New York hospitals did not survive, according to a sweeping study published Tuesday that captured the brutal nature of this new disease and the many ways it attacks the body.

Good thing we panicked and made to many ventilators.

The study, published in the Lancet, is broadly consistent with clinical findings from China and Europe, and confirmed that advanced age is the greatest risk factor for a severe outcome, particularly if accompanied by chronic underlying diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, heart disease and obesity.

So now it appears dead people are getting Stimulus checks deposited in their accounts.
A friend of mine just received a letter saying her dead father just received the Economic Impact Payment into his account.
Our guess is, because he filed taxes in 2018 and received a rebate so they had his account on file. 
The account they tried to deposit it into is closed, but just think how many others are still open and family just  keep the money.
