Spin Zone / Getting To Know Each Other - Part Two - The Sequel
« on: March 23, 2024, 03:39:36 PM »
And who would that be?
Yourself and Little Joe come to mind.

While I have also been subjected to much of his abuse, I really just don’t have much to say which is not readily available to an internet search. I don’t write under a pseudonym.

Many of the others who have been subject to his abuse in the past appear to have simply left. Tolerating this behavior on his part makes for an echo chamber.

And by “tolerating” I am not advocating that Number7 be in any way officially censored by the moderators. I refer to people having for 9 years now continued to respond to him, positively emoji him, and fail to simply respond in kind with abuse.

Is it a surprise that that those who have been subjected to Number7’s abuse largely have no interest in participating?

In any case, I’m going to look into taking Amtrak from now on.

Amtrak is a pleasant laid back experience. However very unpredictable delays of many hours at times and limited service.

You could look at starting to fly your own plane again!

Me too, we had interest rates around that. There seems to be a difference now though. Young people seem unable to afford to buy a house.  But my husband and I could when we were young, even with those interest rates. Is it that the prices are higher than they were back then (adjusted)?  Is it that the young people aren’t earning as much?  Is that because fewer women worked back then? (Dumping women into the workforce created more supply and lowered salaries and wages?)  Or is it because they aren’t marrying and are trying to buy homes by themselves?

There’s a different feel this time around.

I am not claiming this is the primary cause but perhaps it is also contributing. In some sense houses are more sophisticated now and may thus just cost more in real dollars. There is also a lot more regulation and code compliance which likely drives up prices. Many municipalities have actually banned things like the small house movement which was designed to provide more smaller but livable spaces.

It’s very plain the people want Trump back. Yet the Biden cabal and the Federal apparatus are doing everything they can to thwart the will of the people.
True. Though one can hardly expect anything else. With the modern imperial Presidency the stakes are way too high for any sense of honor or fair play to prevail. They will fight as if their lives depend on it.

I guess that by pertinent you meant that he wasn't prosecuted after he resigned under threat of impeachment.

Impeachment is the remedy for a sitting President.
True, though what I meant was that he had a similar view of Presidential immunity and I believe he famously stated that because he did it it was legal.

The case of Richard Nixon, whom many of you may recall, seems pertinent here.

Excellent.  Finally, The People are rizing up to exercise their rights as those who are truly in power. What will the police and courts do?

Sadly, living in Maricopa County I see no sign of that whatsoever.

That’s pretty crazy.

The civil divorce coming will become chronic due to the pressure on the treasury. The communist
Arty (disguised as democrats) with assistance from the scum bag republicans, have insured collapse thru spending and printing of money.

Once the supply dries up it is game over  and the civil war will break out between states that can survive thru production and those that only know how to take and think it is their right.

Exactly what is most likely to cause the breakdown of the Federal government.

I borrowed over a million dollars when I started my business.  That was the best (and only) million I ever borrowed, even if it was the most traumatic time in my life when I put my signature on that piece of paper.
That’s an amazing amount for a startup loan. Must have felt rather risky at the time. But I guess it worked out well. Congratulations!

Both my kids bought new cars and have car payments. It’s like they want to be poor when old. At least they’re not EVs.
My grandfather always said “Only two things worth borrowing money for - a house and an education.”

I’m not so sure about the latter anymore and cars were definitely not on the list.
