« on: September 17, 2021, 05:17:46 AM »I've never been ramp checked (knocking on wood), but I haven't heard of law enforcement doing that. Your local law enforcement officer or FBI probably has no idea what documents are required to be on your person or in the aircraft. They may be able to search for drugs under the same restrictions as searching your car, but not to make sure you or your aircraft are airworthy.
I think that ramp checks are done by the FAA only. But I'd really be interested in knowing who can do it and under what circumstances.
