Covid and the vaccines are the biggest scams perpetuated on the human race.  We witnessed the largest transfer of wealth ever seen.  Excuse me if I don't buy into these bullshit "peer reviewed" studies.

I would add Man Made Climate Change to the list of biggest scams.

The "peers" are corrupt.

The Republicans (UNIPARTY) are, for the most part Democrats with a different name.  They are now the enemy as are the Democrats.  Both are ruining this territory.  It won't change until we have a Depression or worse, then people will be negatively affected enough to wake up, I am sick of this shit.  They are ALL THE SAME except for the very few.

As I said before, I think the Rivian is interesting looking and different. That doesn't mean it will be successful. I'd never pay that kind of money for one, but due to the high, two income households filled with those that embrace the current Neo-Fascism, you see them here, relatively often.  Teslas are everywhere.

These people think they're Royalty. They protect their own.  In reality he should be made an example of and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

You are really stretching it.  Of course electric bills count as maintenance.  See what happens to your reliability if you don't pay.
One way you pay someone else a fairly predictable amount every month to do the maintenance.
The other way you pay someone else to do the maintenance whenever there is a problem.

Sure.  If you don't count the expenses of grid-connected power, then grid connected power is cheaper.
SMH.
OK.

But, that repair and maintenance is captured in your monthly bill. You must compare that to the total cost of owning and operatoring your own Solar power system plus its R&M and monthly reserve to replace the panels.

Also the vast majority of people also need Street Power from the utility because the solar can't generate enough to meet demand. So add that cost as well.

My retina doctor was wearing the mask again. I called her on it. And to my surprise she was ambivalent, pulled it down, said she absolutely hates it and wonders if it really does any good.  Seemed to not want to wear it but figured some of her patients expect it. I think she was a masker originally but is getting over it.  I hope so. I think I swayed her a little that it's okay to ditch it.  Her receptionist didn't have a mask and there was no requirement sign on the door like there was until last year.

Good for you! Maybe they're seeing the light.

What amazes me is how stupid people and other types of liberals fall for this shit time and time again.

The left must have some kind of patent on ignorant and pathetic.

Well, we saw how they fell for the Covid scam, and the man-made climate change hoax.  So, doesn't surprise me.

She had to throw Trump in there.  It's not just about age. Trump is vigorous, energetic and with it.  Biden is a fucking vegetable!

EV's are still largely a virtue signaling tool for the affluent.  The working poor certainly can't afford them, and the vast majority have no place to charge them overnight. The Middle-Income Earner does not have the discretionary income to afford a spare ICE vehicle for longer trips or towing and the wife needs her ICE vehicle to go to WORK.  Many people across the income spectrum live in townhouses, rowhomes or apartments and also don't have any place to charge overnight.

We neither have the generation capacity nor grid to support widespread use of EV's.  I don't see them flying off dealers' lots, except in very, very affluent areas like mine where Model 3's are relatively common, but the other one or two cars in the driveway is an ICE BMW, Benz or Lexus, Land Rover, or other SUV.

So, what are manufactures whom have gone in with Governments worldwide and converting largely to EVs going to do with all of them?  Will Government have to do a back door ban and make mileage requirements so onerous nobody can reach them with ICE or even a Hybrid?  Will governments just ban ICE vehicles or severely limit how much or where they can be driven???

I’m sure buried in my investments I own drug company stock and profited from the vaccines too.  The difference is I have zero input into public policy to force them on people, or to lie to the public about them, or to decide to fund them with tax dollars which I also paid.  This kind of megalomaniacal control over large swaths of society should be criminal and makes me sympathetic to why the left despises “capitalism”.  (Or at least used to claim to.) This is abuse of capitalism and should not be tolerated but only exists because of the enabling of government (did I mention my tax dollars?)

It's not Capitalism that is at fault, it's Crony Capitalism, aka, Fascism, because now Government is the Crony. Blame the alliance, not the underlying Economic System.

We need to realize, we're the new Third Reich.

When did all most of you guys become such devout environmentalists?

I would say most here have been pro environment and conservationists since we were old enough and aware  enough to do so. The fact you would make an issue of it to make an absurd point is demeaning to yourself.

You lost the EV argument, so you lash out at everyone. Typical.

Is that build back better or a fundamental transformation?

Unfortunately most of the country seems to be a member of the apathetic party.

It's the American Revolution, Part II.  We are desperately fighting extreme tyranny right now from both parties.  They're like King George only they're all right HERE.  Not far away in England.

Other than Tesla, Rivian and a few others, most EV manufacturers are tripping over themselves over promising and under delivering.
For now,
- There is not enough charging capacity for everyone to own an EV.  But that is changing.
- Battery technology is emerging (at an amazing pace).  I don't own an EV yet, but when SS batteries become available I might not be able to resist much longer.

I love the idea of EVs, but the technology is nowhere near ready to support everyone owning an EV.  But somebody has to be first.
No, subsidies are purely political.
I'd venture to say that most families (even with just two people) already have two or more cars.  There is almost no valid reason that one of them couldn't be an EV.
That doesn't mean that I think every family SHOULD have an EV whether they want one or not, but there are few valid reasons not to, other than choice.  And nobody seems to care about that (personal choice) any more.  Everyone seems to think that their choice should be imposed on everyone else.

No, you're Government and the Corporations are the ones taking away people's choices. I don't care what you buy. Just don't force me to subsidize YOURS, then force me to buy one.
