What does Number 7 think is long and hard?

Forth grade.

Forth or Fourth?

You and I aren't having an argument. You're just taking pot-shots without marrying your points with the subject.

Because you're so smart.

But there is a cost and the taxpayer pays it.

I am tired of paying for my government to social engineer especially for PC political points.

Bernie's not so bad.  He wants to turn us into Norway.  Sounds good to me as long as he goes all the way.

I don't know much about Norway's socialism but I do know it is a very small, more homogenous society than the U.S.  That crap won't work here.

I want to thank you for posting that information.  I still haven't seen much coverage of this unless I actively search for it.  I wonder why that is?  This is something that is important and should be of interest to all Americans.  My wife, who only reads liberal outlets had not heard this until I told her.  She was thrilled to hear it.

Ignore this, if you are already doing this, but you need to smack her around a little bit.

Except it doesn't.  "Gasoline prices have little effect on demand for car travel."
https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=19191
"Gasoline is a relatively inelastic product, meaning changes in prices have little influence on demand. "

So essentially it's an unlimited source of tax revenue.  Raise the taxes on gas and people still pay it.  The taxes are hidden so it's hard to see the price of the GAS.  What's posted is gas + taxes.  So they go ahead and raise the taxes "for the children" and demand stays the same.  Yay!  Free money!

I understand that.  People NEED to use gasoline, electricity generated by fossil fuel, and other fossil fuel based energy.  We need to purchase products moved by energy, and that use energy in production and use oil in the components of production, like PLASTICS.  There is no real choice to avoid the purchase.  That is why it is so damaging to artificially raise the cost of this commodity outside of market forces.

This is where Obama, and the Greenies are wrong.  We will use fossil fuels until there is something better and cheaper.  The market must dictate that, not government.

Limbaugh has a great knack for analyzing things. What he talked about today was how Trump talked about the plan for women's paid family leave and how the Tampons (love that) jumped up and clapped and then he immediately pivoted to the late term abortion thing hitting the VA Gov (for now) and Cuomo and they sat there on their hands and how vivid that contrast was.

Limbaugh does get it right a lot of the time.  That is very telling.  The Mango Mussolini played the Tampons, and the rest of the Democrats to make them look extremely biased, racist, and dishonest.  Pelosi knew exactly what was going on and had to give Trump a very condescending clap.  She was HOSED.

Pelosi tried to take away attention from Trump by constantly shuffling her papers, and pretending to read them, but it didn't work.  It just made her look more petty, ridiculous, and impotent.

Can you imagine what Hillary was thinking, sitting HOME with her Chardonnay, and Huma watching Trump, and hearing all his succeses?  You know she was watching it in utter rage, and jealousy thinking it should be her up there, PREACHING to the Tampons, and lecturing everyone else.  Too bad Hillary.  YOU LOST.  LOL!

Who are all those sour bitches in white suits NOT standing and clapping at the statement that the state of the union is strong? Or that black unemployment is lower than ever?

I was wondering the same thing.  They all looked like they ate a bug.

What’s the problem?

If you have a better idea, convince me. If you don’t have a better idea, then why are you hanging onto it.

It is obvious there is a double standard in the Media.  If this had been a "conservative" judge the death watch would be 24/7.  Also the fact the VA Governor is a Democrat has that story now buried where if he were a Republican it would be front page news still.  The fact you don't see that is just ridiculous.  So, if you can not acknowledge that, what is the point of further discussion?

Haven't posted there since ether banned me for trying very hard to follow their damn rules.  Closing the Spin Zone was the worst thing they ever did.  The mods will clam success because there's less argument.  There's less argument because there are fewer posts.  Traffic went down on the site by a third.

Same thing happened on the old AOPA board as most of us were there too.  Sad.  No matter what your politics, good debate makes things more interesting, even if it devolves sometimes.  Jeez, its been twenty years or a tad more since we've all known each other.

Why do I get the idea that Logajan shows up at Trekky conventions dressed as Spock?

Wrong. He dresses up as Sheldon Cooper (from the Big Bang Theory) dressing up as Spock.  So basically, Spock twice removed.

^^^^^That is one of my favorite Star Trek episodes, and to me there is only one Star Trek.

My state Constitution says "The Right of the People to Keep and Bear Arms shall NOT BE QUESTIONED".  However, there is no Federal requirement to be in the Militia to keep and bear arms.  It is the right of the "People", and people are individuals.
