What's changed from a week ago? 

We now have another CR, no real budget in sight, just a new deadline three weeks from now.

CHIP got funded, something Congress should have done months ago.

The Dems got some vague assurances that there will be some kind of DACA/immigration discussion.

Can't say much has changed although getting CHIP funded was important.  The Dems still have leverage in the Senate.  What is discouraging is that there is widespread support for solving the DACA issue, reforming immigration and moving on.  Yet both sides seem unwilling do actually do so.

The "anti-incumbent" party is looking more and more attractive.

Same reason why the Democrats claim to be champions of the poor and black communities, but in reality have done nothing for them and continue to do nothing for them, well, except in taking their votes.

 The liberal progressives could give a fuck less about minorities and the poor.  These are people that are beneath them, but yet they need and want their votes.

I hope they are. I fear we may one day have Michelle or Chelsea running for prez.

I think its a bit archaic to say gaming is bad/nerdy/basement dweller type of hobby nowadays.   Its more competitive, complex and accessible than almost any other hobby or sport. There are people who take it too far like any hobby but for most of us we are just having fun hoping you'll join us but if not thats cool too. 

...ummm... how about incread COSTS and increased services attached as part of the recovery efforts?
More people assigned and paid to do more, provide more, repair more and do so at lax levels of cost oversight ALWAYS. Leads to higher costs and reduced efficiencies, but you wouldn’t understand any of that. You live off the same taxpayers funding those same inefficient recovery efforts.
