Spin Zone / Re: Reasons to Vote for Trump
« on: June 14, 2016, 05:56:02 AM »
Please tell me all about them.  And tell me how much he made vs. how much he inherited.  Oh, that's right, you can't.  You don't have any access to anything other than his ramblings because he's the only presidential candidate in recent history to not release tax returns.

The Trump Organization has 515 subsidiaries. Are you trying to imply that all of that was inherited and that Donald Trump was not responsible for any growth of the organization?

It's not difficult to spend a bit of time researching the various business subsidiaries and see the numbers on them, but that would detract from your liberal mindset and talking points.

So back to your two heroes, Obama and Clinton.   Tell us about Obama's involvement in private industry that makes him knowledgeable on how a business works?  Which companies did Obama oversee, produce a budget, hire people and make a payroll for?   Or even, other than being a "community organizer", what has he actually done outside of politics?   What, you say he wrote 2 books about himself?   Gee, forensic analyst have determined he didn't even write those books himself but used a ghost writer instead (a guy named Bill Ayers, but that's another story).   Oh, you say Obama taught constitutional law and said he was a law professor.  But the University of Chicago said he was only a lecturer and was never a professor.

What about Obama's time in the legislature? You know, where the majority of his votes were "present" and he never introduced any legislation?  No accomplishments either.   And then we have his lackluster time in the US Senate, again a huge nothing, nothing notable.

Now let's get to Hillary Clinton, as Obama said was the "most qualified to be president".   Let's see, here we have a lawyer who got fired from the watergate committee for ethics, then goes on to be First Lady with Bill Clinton where she proclaimed that she was a "co-president" in his administration although no position ever existed.  Her Hillary Care flopped big time, she was embroiled in multiple scandals and we even got to watch her husband get impeached. Then she carpetbags herself to NY to get a Senate seat only to do as her protege Obama and accomplish nothing. Oh wait, she did vote to support the Iraq invasion to the joy of the liberals.   Then we watched her failed presidential bid in 08 in which she excoriated Obama at every turn labeling him as incompetent (talk about kettle calling the pot black) only to worm herself in as Secretary of State, a job in which she failed miserably and accelerated the destabilation of the Middle East. Not to mention sacrificing American lives to protect her political agenda.

And she has made history, not by being the first woman to gain her parties nomination for president, but for being under investigation for criminal conduct while running for the office of president. Now that is quite the achievement.

I'm waiting for the President's statement about how these types of incidents don't happen in other countries and that we need "common sense gun laws."

If your opinion is that all gun laws are unconstitutional, that is fine. But the courts have not agreed with you for centuries.
There you go again!  Can you document your assertions?

Remember, there is a difference between making laws about the way people are allowed to use guns and the fact that they are allowed own them.  Committing murder with a gun is legitimately illegal.  I would even go so far as to say that someone that has committed a crime with a gun shouldn't be allowed to own one.  But "The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed" is (as Democrats love to say) "SETTLED" and "The law of the land".

What is the point?  I'm being asked - told - in most quarters to just be a sheep, to follow the flock of the racist Trump, off the cliff if necessary, so as to support the GOP nominee at all costs.

People want me to act like McConnell, who has fallen in line like a good little establishment republican, and who can't even say on national TV that Trump's criticism of an Indiana-born judge of Mexican heritage is racist at its core. I've certainly seen no revulsion from you, or lucifer, or others over this. Hell, Hannity was defending Trump's actions on the radio yesterday.

It's disgusting. I refuse to be a sheep.
So, are you saying that anyone who supports Trump, warts and all, is a sheep and cannot be doing so based on actual, legitimate reasons?  I get you won't vote for the guy and beyond pointing out the potential result from too many folks 'standing on principle', I am not calling for you to do anything since as I have repeatedly said, had Cruz ended up with the nomination, or if the RNC 'selects' someone else I would be the one weighing my options and the potential ramifications thereof.

FWIW - with respect to this Judge I think Trump is spot on and his concern about bias will be borne out - you do know that The National Council of La Raza (which translates directly to 'The Race') is a racist organization itself that seeks the re-conquest of former Mexican land that is now part of America right?

Imagine a white judge who is a member of the John Birch Society, presiding over a trial of a liberal black man seeking an office somewhere, think there would not be concerns about fairness?  What if the Judge was a close-friend of former Grand Kleagel of the KKK Dem. Senator Robert 'Sheets' Byrd?

Don't forget that President Reagan was loudly critized by liberals for cutting spending... except the "cuts" were smaller increases than the liberals were demanding.

I remember all of the news propaganda about the "homeless" supposedly due to Reagan policies.

Funny how we haven't seen any under 8 years of the Obama Malaise.

Of course.  And the media joyfully joins in with the talking points.

However, a lot of Americans are tiring of the charades and seeing through this.

I see a dramatic rolling  back of the willingness to simply stare at the facts and then accept the lies of the media and the democratic machine as the truth. The hit to the mainstream media has been y'uggggeeee (I hope I typed that the way the Donald would have said it), and it seems like the damage is permanent as opposed to brief. People simply have chosne to tune out the talking heads and are doing so at a dramatic pace.

I think you are giving "a lot of Americans" too much credit, unfortunately.

What don't you trust?  Do you think the number of people participating in the labor force is going up?

The fact that it's gone down so much and that going down has cost you and me and addition X.YZ trillion dollars is bad whether the BLS is lying about the rate or not.  The only thing it changes is how much, whether it's whole lot or a whole, whole lot.

The formulas are very public and computed using very public data.  If you think they try to jigger the formula then you'd want to research how long these equations have been in use and then maybe reconsider.

It's largely impossible to manipulate the data at the BLS because there are so many people looking at it.  Any hint of manipulation would cast doubt on all of it in a way that would make the global warming manipulation doubt look like nothing.  Yet, 99% of us have trust that the raw data is substantially correct.  You can place some blame on the liars that figure, but if you do, go back and find out which liar it was, because it wasn't any of the current ones.
What I said was it is NOT the numbers I don't trust.  The numbers are the "data", so I trust the data.
What I don't trust is the spin.

The government never mentions the workforce participation rate because they don't want people to know about it.  Sure, the numbers are public, but I'll bet 95% of the people are ignorant of them.  They only know what gets reported.  Ie, "unemployment" is down.  Job creation is up (except for the past few months).  Very few people understand what those two number mean unless it is explained to them, and it rarely is.  Certainly Obama and Clinton don't spend any time talking about the real inflation rate, or the real employment numbers, or the real deficit (including unfunded liabilities).

And sure, both sides spin it to their own benefit.  When employment was rising under Bush, the Democrats all said "sure, but it is all crappy jobs", just like is occurring now, only with the sides reversed.

I do believe that the government can tell the truth.  But only when it fits their agenda.  Right now, it doesn't.

How come no one is bemoaning the fact that the opposition party is running a soon-to-be felon, who spent her entire life failing at every political job she managed to get?

She got part of it right.  Corporations are under intense pressure to produce each and every quarter.  Where she missed is, it isn't corporate law creating it but her Wall Street buddies that are creating the pressure to improve quarter after quarter.
Actually, it's the owners of the companies...the shareholders.

Yet there will STILL not be a single democratic politician, journalist, or sycophantic democratic voter who will say that she did anything wrong, and doesn't deserve to be president.

Libs are consistent in their disregard for the law as long as it's someone wearing their jersey.

The fossil fuel industry is already overly regulated, and yes they are enforced by an out of control EPA.  If there were any environmental problems, the vast liberal/progressive media would be all over it.
Unless, of course, the EPA is responsible for the spill

In the field of risk avoidance, you consider the probability of a situation in relation to the severity of that situation.

So take a situation:
Appointing liberal supreme court justices?
Attacking the 2nd A (and the 1st andothers)?
Raising taxes?
Appointing liberal heads of the various agencies (IRS, EPA, DOJ . ..)
or any other position that is important to you.

What are the odds that Hillary will do the wrong thing?  (I submit 100%)
What are the odds that Trump will do the wrong thing?  (I submit, Less than 100%).

Where is the confusion coming from?  I think it is all just emotional, but I always thought that was a liberal trait.

#NeverHillary   ;D ;D ;D

Exactly, and well said.
