Unfortunately for the progressives mental cases to win, everything that anybody holds dear must be torn down and destroyed, to be replaced by conformity to the progressive mental illness, and faithfulness only to the state. These people relish destroying anything that makes anyone else happy, because progressives appear to be congenitally unhappy, and the most jealous people on earth, needing to attack and destroy any form of happiness, because it offends their selfish selves.
This is empirically true; the unhappiest people I meet, and friends I have known for years, are almost to a person far left leaning, and seem to have been born destined for unhappiness.

Well, and why not?  In their world, nothing can be right or wrong, except that which they declare to be right or wrong, and they tend to declare "wrong" the things that lead to happiness.  You know, things like keeping sexual activity in marriage, keeping basically any natural impulse in context, raising children to be mentally healthy, independent adults, looking at the larger picture, thinking through cause and effect, understanding what freedom really means, on and on.  This latest attempt to skew laws (and restrooms, for heaven's sake) toward mere fractions of the population is just the latest thing ... now that they've redefined marriage FOR EVERYONE, they have to redefine TOILETS for EVERYONE, creating a bizarre chain of totally predictable results that throw the whole experience of going to the bathroom into chaos.

Nuts.

Now the Jesus Lunches are drawing protesters, who are supported by the "Freedom from Religion" foundation.

What the fuck is WRONG with people?  Why can't the left live and let live, and allow these people to have their good and wholesome lunches and discussions on their Christian faith in peace?

The left is destroying this country.  There is NOTHING good to come from protesting these lunches, except to to drive faith into the shadows.

I have no idea what that evolution would look like, but yes, I think if we were to evolve, it would likely be the end of borders and private property. It would also likely be the end of many of our emotions, such as envy, hate, jealousy, rage. It would be the end of insecurity as well as the "alpha male". It would be a very, very different world, but a world of peace.

I believe, like many science fiction writers, that one day in the future we will become clever enough in our knowledge that the option of evolving into a different being will be before us. The question then will be, will we be willing to let go of the animal in us for the sake of moving forward as a unified group? I doubt there will be a unanimous answer to this when the time comes.
I think Darwin disproves your theory. That's a serious statement.

Now for a slightly less serious point:  I think your evolution of getting rid of the "alpha male" has already begun, ironically with the male millennials wearing skinny jeans and generally acting effeminately. Throw in the designated hitter and pink shoes in the NFL, and all hell is breaking loose.

arguably, that 84% overun might be less than it would have been otherwise.

An over run is an over run.  When you have these so called fiscal conservatives running the show and engaging in this kind of behavior it just goes to show it's politics as usual.

Both parties are bought and paid for, and must now service their masters.

I have no problem with mercenaries.  "Cry Havoc! And let slip the dogs of war!"

Hits nail directly on the head....  The precedence this will set turns the $20T in Federal debt into something much, much larger.

And "conservative" Paul Ryan is eager to work with BHO to help him achieve this.

Ryan is no more than Boehner V 2.0

Other than progressives, does anyone really want Kasich?
The guy is a pathetic, pandering, pussy.

Still better than Hillary or Bernie.

This is the beauty of fracking and energy independence. We can actually seriously contemplate calling out our drug dealer on their underhanded bull crap. I say pass the bill and let the chips fall where they may. The Saudis are not our friends. Just look at the way they treat their own people. Is that even close to the American way?

Yep, those were the words he used.

Not quite as definitive as LBJ's statement of "If nominated, I will not run, if elected I will not serve", but about as close as you can get without plagiarizing LBJ.
Those words were the first time LBJ spurred me to cheer him!

More (albeit anectodal) proof that political elections are really selections.

I am not going to comment to each bit of brain-dead vitriol made by people that cannot read and comprehend.

My point remains that Hillary is not good, but better than who the idiot GOP are going to put up.  But don't worry, I half expect that the fruit of right-wing, misogynistic attacks on Hillary for the last few decades may well result in President Sanders.  It is not going to result in President Cruz or President Trump.  Both of whom would make Obama look like a consummate statesman.

Most of you don't seem  to understand the electoral college and how it works.  I am not going to bother explaining it to you, but you can Google it, if you can.  For those that don't know anything about California, other than that is where you lettuce comes from, let me clue you in.  California will vote for the Democrat nominee and he/she will get ALL of the states electoral votes.  It matters not who I vote for.  So my none-of-the-above vote is for me and my conscience.

I won't know whether to laugh or cry with Bernie/Hillary packs the court with leftists after the GOP manages to lose control of the Senate as well.  The stupid stands they have taken to refuse to compromise, when a democracy only works with compromise, are going to drive the party out of power.  The GOP self-crucifixion on the cross of ideological purity, which is apply on display here, will and is allowing the Dems to move hard to the left and still win the national elections.

As for you supplicants to the alter of the Constitution-as-written, don't know what you are talking about.  I am sure that none of you have studied constitutional law.  The Constitution has been morphing for 230+ years.  Right or wrong, that ship has sailed.  Get over it.  Like Scalia, you are using that as a justification for your preconceived policy choices which is as much judicial activism as that which drove Roe v. Wade.

What a load of sanctimonious, self-righteous, smarter-than-thou horse shit.  The bit about mysoginism and the bigoted crucifix reference were particularly idiotic.  Here's your sign.... Next?

In other words, blowhard liberals are allowed to disrupt, threaten and pillage at republican events and Trump is at fault because he hurt them with his words.   Some of you guys should really read what you write sometimes.  F the protesters.

I wonder if Bryan with a "Y" and Aunt Peggy are singing it together... :) :) :)
In concept, it's a nice philosophy.  In reality, it's "You be you, and I'll be me, but if you're not like me, you're defective and must be labeled and squashed."

Conservatives are way better at letting everyone be who they are, I suspect because we see that world can be an unforgiving place (see Nature) and we must learn to deflect life's arrows, determine cause and effect, and endure hardship for greater gain.  Liberals, not so much.
