True, but still they knew that smoking could kill you; albeit slowly.  So why have all those people won lawsuits because they weren't informed of that fact when they started.  They made bad decisions and they paid the price.  Perhaps the tobacco companies should have been punished for distributing a dangerous product, but that punishment should not have been to reward people that chose to smoke those dangerous products.

I agree with that and in a similar vein I oppose punishing manufacturers of prescription opioids because some idiots get themselves addicted.  When I had my hip surgery they gave me a cocktail of four or five different opioids in an IV and orally, as well as injecting it directly into the tissue around my joint replacement before they sewed me back up.  Thank GOD for opioids.  I didn’t turn into a drug addict and I damn sure don’t want the drug companies’ production limited by government regulation or fear of heavy fines and lawsuits because druggies abuse them illegally.

My suggestion to solve the drug addict problem: stop feeding them!  Just do not enable them by giving them food and/or shelter.  When they get hungry enough they’ll quit drugs and get a job, or suicide themselves and either way won’t be our problem anymore.

There needs to be arrest, and tribunals held for scum like Fauci and Burkes for crimes against humanity. 

 Public executions need to be held.

That would require a functional justice system, which we don’t have at the moment.
