Spin Zone / Re: A question for our liberal friends
« on: June 28, 2018, 10:03:11 AM »
Yep.  The Dems have not learned from their huge mistakes in 2016.  You can't demonize, and insult a large part of the country, and get anywhere politically.  They have now outed themselves to be on the side of violence, violent gangs, and most other anti American causes.

Now avowed socialists are getting elected in major cities.  I see this as a trend.  Americans, for the most part to not like socialism, communism, and other oppressive government schemes.

Now the call is for "resist everything!" and violence.  And the new strategy for 2018 is to go after the "Trump supporters" head on and demonize them and try to shame them from voting.

But as I've said before, the DNC has been hijacked by the Alt Left Radical Progressives. Progressive is just another term for communist.

Now go back and look at the different communist regimes over the past 100 years or so and start seeing the similarities in the tactics being used today.  It's one in the same.

I agree with both of you.  I just think he would be better served if he made his case in front of the whole world first, rather than just charging in and going on the attack.  I think it would put him in a stronger negotiation position.

I think he has made his case.   Problem is the MSM and the progressives then twist it around in yet another lame attempt to make him look bad.

He's addressing the problem from the top and taking these countries to task.

Righting the problems that so many have left unchallenged and ignored is a long hard process.

I can't find anything in the original post about public behavior, just orientation and sexual intimacy. So I'm not sure why you're talking about public behavior.
You've got to be kidding.  Didn't you see the political ad where the candidate and his husband, with their two adopted black kids, kiss each other on the lips, and the candidate says, "Take that, Trump."

And this lovely example for your kids:

https://moonbattery.com/degenerate-congresscritter-brian-sims-welcomes-mike-pence-to-philadelphia/

Where's the acceptance of Christians, heterosexuals and whites in there, one might ask?

It ain't private anymore, asechrest.  It's everywhere.  Did you know we used to have two sexual dysphoria clinics in this country, and now we have over 40?  Parents are seeing their kids come home from school and ask, "Am I really a girl/boy?"

What, I might ask, induced that particular questions from a child?  They're getting LGBTQ "orientation" and "sensitivity training" in GRADE SCHOOL.

I've said all along that you get more of what you promote and praise.  Promoting and praising what even lovingly and tolerantly can be accurately called sexual dysfunction doesn't go ANYWHERE good.

You would deny that America exists because people holding to a set of principles (those fleeing England's king and oppression) crossed an ocean to get here, fought an extended and pragmatically hopeless war against said king, banded together under the common belief in a creator and creator-given rights, and wrote the most effective constitution in human history to guarantee those rights, asking the blessing of the creator in all their endeavors?

Where the dysfunction infects and destroys is in the breakdown of the structure of shared, solid principles like those I wrote about in my last post. We see it everywhere today. Much has been written about the single most culpable thing in America's cultural decline: lack of guiding principles. When everything is okay, nothing is okay.

BTW, you are noticeably overlooking much that I have stated in my last couple of posts. It seems you would rather rant upon tangential and incorrect interpretations of what I have said.

Let's just go there. This is what we, and even our grade school kids and grandkids, at their formative stages of life, and our older kids in their sexually active stages of life, are being encouraged to happily support and accept.

http://factsaboutyouth.com/posts/physical-health/

Liberals will NOT have discussions about this, typically. What they don't get is that Christians who practice their faith, and anyone else with a functioning sense of reason, accept the person, but not the behavior. Loving someone doesn't mean wanting to promote and normalize whatever they are doing.

Tons of actual research out there shows the shadow side of gay marriage ... it's pretty bleak for men, and horrendously damaging for any kids they are raising.

With all its own struggles, a family based on a heterosexual couple parenting is far and away healthier for everyone. But you won't see the stats on that in the general media, because the truth of it is "hateful" towards gays.

Nope. Love the person, reject the behavior. It's not race, religion, skin color, ethic surname, blah blah blah. It's behavior. And that is COMPLETELY within my rights to reject and refuse to support and encourage.

To grasp what is going on, read Saul Alinsky and Clowerd-Piven.   Also read up on Karl Marx and the communist manifesto.

I mean, I was a liberal (small "l") back in the late 70s, a lot of people had common ground with liberals who weren't liberal. But now - I just don't get how someone can be on board with their asinine outlook. Defend MS-13 murder/rapists, all Muslims, including terrorists, anchor babies, illiterate useless mouths jumping the border, welfare deadbeats(long term). This is the constituency they want to uphold? Really? Free stuff for everyone, but high taxes only for the wealthy, but not all the wealthy, just the conservative wealthy. Lying, cheating, corruption in govt service is ok, just if it advances the liberal agenda. WTF?

Reagan famously said 'I did not leave the Liberal party, the Liberal party left me.' I understand exactly what he meant. How disconnected from one's own culture, and history be people and still have a working brain?

Just wait till people start attacking others with cricket bats.

When cricket bats are outlawed only outlaws will have cricket bats.

There's no judge in Boulder CO county that will entertain a personal lawsuit against a sitting counsel man unless they did something pretty outrageous.

You mean like mass deprivation of civil rights?

Newsflash - the vast, vast majority of liberals have little opinion on Israel, and certainly don't care enough to hate them. Most of the rest of them like Israel.

The number of liberals who are politically savvy enough to tow some supposed party-line hatred of Israel is minuscule.

I hope that is true, just like it is true that most conservatives are not gap toothed hillbillies, but the liberal image of all conservatives is exactly that. This country has split into two camps growing wider apart by the hour, and each camp is painting the other as ever more some made up Face of Evil. The reality is that only a few on each side are ideological fanatics, most don't care much about politics or just blindly swallow their camp's ideas. To the extent liberals hate Israel seems to me just the outcome of the latter: a very skewed media portrayal of Israel as some oppressor of the poor disadvantaged Arabs, a lack of knowledge of their history as I think invflatspin pointed out. If you go back thousands of years you will find the roots of the desert nomads - they were pushed out of the fertile coastal regions by pure OVERPOPULATION (relative to that day's agricultural technology) and evolved into their own culture. This is neither good nor bad, it is just what it is no more no less. But it does result in tension between the descendants of both groups with the nomadic one having no more claim over any particular territory because we are talking about far more than just today's Israel. To say they deserve Israel would be like saying today's descendants of the mid 19th century immigrants fleeing the Irish potato famine deserve property claims in today's state of Ireland. Nuts! The reality is that the best rational choice for these people is to assimilate into the modern construct such as it exists. Those who refuse and choose terrorist "jihad" instead only screw themselves in the process - the Stone Age behavior and morality of that culture, which served them well in harsh desert conditions, will never be tolerated in today's modern world.

Trump is signaling, just like Reagan did that he just may be crazy enough to destroy their worthless asses.

That would fine with me...

Spin Zone / Re: John McCain

McCain is a bitter old, spiteful, vengeful man.  Ever since the election, McCain has been worse than the Democrats.  He has voted against everything Trump has supported.  He leaked documents and now he invites Obama to speak at his funeral (which can't come soon enough for me) but he specified he doesn't want Trump to attend.  Now he is opposing Gina Haspel out of spite for Trump.  At least Democrat vote against Trump out of some sort of warped political motive.  McCain does it out of hate and spite.

I have never liked the man,and I like him even less now.
