I used to really like NOVA.  Kind of forgot all about it.  Most shows like it have gone full climate change emergency no matter what the topic so I lose interest pretty quickly.

Just curious if you were wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and whether you think it would have helped?
I don't wear a helmet when riding a bicycle, and rarely wear one when riding a motor cycle.  My stupid glasses and Cochlear processor and magnet makes it a real pain.  I'm considering getting glasses from "Flying Eyes".  They claim their glasses are "helmet friendly".  But for now I figure I'm on borrowed time anyway so if I die now, I still won for the most part.

Yes, I was wearing a helmet. It broke which they are designed to do.
 I'd be dead or paralyzed if I wasn't wearing it. The helmet shifted forward a bit due to the violent movement when I flipped over, so s small part of my neck and head impacted the pavement.

All things considered, I am very fortunate.

So I get up and eagerly check in to see if Anthony has explained his lidocaine post. ANTHONY!!!!!! Put us out of our misery!!!!

I've been getting Lidocaine injections for pain where my neck fracture healed. After yet more MRIs and CT scans, they determined the bone healed, but impacted the adjacent nerve which is causing the pain. Finally, they did a nerve ablation with yet more Lidocaine. The pain is reduced, but not gone, so I'm getting frustrated.

The next step is for the Neurosurgeon to go in and just cut the nerve, but we're not there yet.

Same story in many other African countries, the Caribbean, South America, Middle East, etc. That's what the Democrats want here.
