I would expect that a new vice president would be selected by Pence and approved very quickly before Ryan rose to the presidency.  It's hard to imagine someone worse for the job and more universally despised than Ryan.

Also, Pence may be more of a status quo type of politician than Trump.  Ryan certainly would be.  I am not a Ryan fan either.

I disagree. Even if Trump resigned or was impeached and removed, Pence would become the next President, followed by Paul Ryan and so on. Our system of government is well in tact.

I agree that there are people who want to see Trump impeached (for whatever idiotic reason) or severely damaged so as to lose in 2020, but I hardly think that's a coup.

I understand, and that is fine.  I will agree that Coups are typically a violent, and forced takeover of power like what happened here in 1963, or what happens in third world countries all the time.  However, if Trump is impeached without proper reason, I think that would be a coup, and I also think to keep an Administration reacting to a false narrative is dangerous, and "coup like".

Most conservatives, and libertarians despised Obama's policies, and divisive rhetoric.  However, they never tried to de-legitimize him daily, in any meaningful way.  The "birther" stuff went nowhere, and the media did not reinforce it like they are doing with all this Russia misinformation/disinformation campaign.

Let's also remember that just because a set of information is harmful to national security does not mean that the governed people shouldn't know about it.

I don't like the term "governed people".  Didn't we fight a revolution to change that?  Doesn't the government work for us?

The people in the flyover country are paying attention.   They watch the fake news, they watch as the progressives are becoming even more unhinged and they are watching as the media and progressives do everything they possibly can to bring down this administration.

These people aren't idiots.  After watching this they will not walk in the voting booth and hand power to Chuck Schumer or Nancy Pelosi.   They WILL vote out republicans who have reneged on their promises and replace them with new blood.  Let's hope it starts with Paul Ryan.

I hope this is true.  My fear is that too many people will eventually believe the repeated, and repeated Democrat/Media lies.

Do you think if two black women had gone to England and learned how to make scones and clotted cream, then came back and started a business selling it, that social media would have destroyed them for "appropriating" British culture?  There's never been anything wrong with learning a culture's dishes, then going elsewhere to cook and sell them.  This is a problem of social media being used by people with an agenda (chip on their shoulder) to arbitrarily victimize targets.  Mob mentality in cyberspace because white people are hated.

We have ethnic restaurants, and food truck all over the place.  Italian, middle eastern, Asian, Mexican, Thai, Indian (quickie mart types, not Tanto), and nobody complains their culture is being "stolen".  WTF?  I don't think I could again live in these enclaves of hate like Portland, Seattle, San Fran, etc.

Time to picket Pizza shops that aren't owned by native Italians!

“At the root of all this is an immoral desire to continue the transfer of wealth from the poorest in this nation to a handful of the richest,”

How does this even make sense?  The poorest have no money.  How can there be a transfer?  Of course in their minds reducing the amount that taxpayers give (at the point of a gun) to the poor is a transfer to the rich.

Just like when government/politicians say they are "cutting the budget" by reducing the growth rate for future years.  If I did that in my business, I'd be fired, and rightfully so.

Saying there is a coup is hyperbole. I'll agree there are people who are actively trying to damage Trump and his administration and I think there are many who would love to see Trump resign or be impeached and removed. But that's hardly a coup.

I think there is a planned, methodical approach by the Democrats, and the Media to undermine the Trump Administration.  I don't think calling it a Coup is hyperbole.  I think it is real, call it what you will, but except for the violence, we are seeing all the indications of an attempt to overthrow the legitimate President of the U.S., without any facts, nor a rationale for doing it.  When the false accusations don't work, they may resort to violence.  That is if trump continues to actually do what he said he would do.  If he folds, and we remain business as usual (crony, big government, more taxes, etc) then they will back off.

Why do you think we have an income tax?

Yeah, tell me about it.  I do my own taxes now, but a few years ago when I was moving around, and living/working in multiple states I used an accountant (CPA).  I said, hey I am paying $xxxxx in Federal, State, and Local income taxes!  WTF?  His reply was just, well you made $x last year, so that is why.  Yes, duh, but it still sucks.   >:(

Spin Zone / Re: Your 4th Amendment Right........
« on: May 26, 2017, 06:25:20 AM »
Erosion of the 4th isn't limited to Obama.  I think we can all agree it crosses party boundaries and is the worst at the local level.  The worst part is that the erosion is accelerating and that so many people either don't care or welcome it.

My opinions on the matter aren't agreeable with many people though.  I don't think one should have to assert his right to remain silent.  He should be able to simply remain silent.  I read something a couple of weeks ago about a guy getting stopped at a checkpoint, asked where he was going and he said he didn't have to answer.  The cops arrested him for not complying and this was upheld even on appeal.  Serve a warrant on the wrong house, find something illegal, and it's still a good bust?

I know it sounds like I'm in favor of being soft on criminals.  I'm not at all.  I just think those hired to protect us need to obey what should be a very strict set of rules.

We've militarized our police and given them broad powers.  I don't think it should be that way.  We had a situation here in town several years ago where a guy was suspected of selling pot.  A warrant was signed, sat on for a month, then a SWAT team hit the house in the middle of the night.  Video shows the family had 2 small non-aggressive dogs who were chased into the kitchen where one was shot, the other shot when it ran into the laundry room.  The guy's wife and 8 YO led out the door while this guys is complying with the command to lay on the floor, then kicked in the head (not hard, but still, why?)

Sure enough, they did find a joint in the raid, maybe even two, I don't recall.  But it's amazing to read the comments about how the guy brought this on himself by having marijuana.  I don't know, maybe things have always been this crazy.  I just don't remember it being like this and it seems like it's getting worse.

Totally agree.  The War on Drugs, and the War on terror ahs been used by both Republicans, and Democrats alike to grow agency budget5s, expand "law enforcement", and deny freedoms to law abiding citizens.  I no longer trust law enforcement.  I don't blame them for everything either, but I don't trust the motives of police at any level anymore.  I think they want numbers to justify larger, and larger budgets, and agencies just like most other government entities.  However, unlike other agencies, they can and do put people in jail for all the wrong reasons.

This is now the third election in which the MSM was proclaiming this election would signal the repudiation of Trump and show that Americans wanted Trump gone.

Just like their polling and fake news during the presidential election, the MSM still doesn't get it.

What we may be seeing is a backlash against the media, and Dems for the way they have acted since the Trump election.  They have tried to de-legitimize him daily even since before he took office.  They were calling for impeachment prior to the start of his term!  Losers!

As far as anyone knows, Trump never grabbed anyone.

That is true, but we all know Bill Clinton grabbed one, or probably several, but that is OK to the Dems, and media.  Then again, he has to deal with Hillary, so.........

So I guess Chipotle, Qdoba, Taco Bell, and every other Mexican restaurant that isn't owned and operated by "authentic" Mexicans will be forced to close down also.  If I make Tacos, or Burritos in my kitchen will I be forced to cease, and desist?  Will I be fined?  Jailed?

This is RESTRAINT of TRADE.  These women did nothing wrong but open a food truck, and LEGALLY made money.  If I were in there shoes no way would I have closed down.

Interesting point brought up today on the Patriot Channel (Andrew Wilkow's show):

Where is Seth Rich's computer?  Who has it?

That alone will either prove or disprove if he in fact was the WikiLeaks contact.

Maybe it's with Hillary's email server in Chappaqua, NY?

(Most likely it is in Chappaquiddick)

And the Left did everything in its power to prevent that for the previous 8 years and are still doing it with a very pro-business president in office.

Because government dependency.

A dependent, and divided populace is easier to control, and that's what the Democrats (and some Republicans) want.  That is why they hate legal, private ownership of guns so much.  It is the last line of defense, for an otherwise defenseless populace.  The Democrats also seemed to hate private wealth accumulation except for themselves, and their elitist cronies.  Money gives us independence also.  They hate that.

Any new plan for social security change would have to protect those currently drawing or about to begin drawing. It would have to be phased in and perhaps even have an opt out for those who wish to remain on the traditional system.

Wasn't that GWB's plan?  It went NOWHERE.
