Rioters vandalized the Robert Gould Shaw 54th Regiment monument, which celebrates the first all-volunteer black regiment of the Union Army during the Civil War.

“A thousand men signed up just after President Lincoln signed the Emancipation Proclamation, just think about that,” Liz Vizza, executive director of Friends of the Public Garden, told ABC affiliate WCVB. “These are men who, if they were captured in the South, would be enslaved or murdered. But this cause was so important to them, they signed up to go fight for their freedom.”

The monument stands across from the Massachusetts State House. The monument is currently covered in plywood to protect it during restoration to reinforce the sword held by Robert Gould Shaw. Rioters covered the plywood in obscene graffiti and spray-painted more obscenities along with the message “R.I.P. George Floyd” on the back of the monument.

So they are so stupid they even deface the first all BLACK regiment that fought on the side of the Union.

Seattle Mayor Jenny Durkan on Thursday defended the protesters who have declared an “autonomous zone” on the city’s streets as “patriotic.”

In her remarks to the press, Durkan also said President Trump’s threat to send in federal forces to crack down on the protesters was “unconstitutional and illegal.”

“Unfortunately, our President wants to tell a story about domestic terrorists who have a radical agenda and are promoting a conspiracy that fits his law-and-order initiatives,” Durkan said, according to Patch.

“It’s simply not true. Lawfully gathering and expressing First Amendment rights, demanding we do better as a society, and providing true equity for communities of color is not terrorism. It’s patriotism.”

She was referring to an area in the city’s Capitol Hill zone,

Really?  Lawfully gathering, while rioting, looting, burning and illegally occupying buildings and streets?

For several decades the Democrats on every level of government have used "The Public Good" and "Public Safety" as a way to remove individual Rights, freedoms and liberties.   Often they are upheld by corrupt, Leftist Activist Courts.  Why isn't the Democrat leadership of Seattle concerned about that now?

Police have been unable to respond to “rapes, robberies, and all sorts of violent acts” occurring in Seattle’s East Precinct, which authorities abandoned on Monday, leaving the area in the hands of activists who set up their own police-free “Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” (CHAZ), Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best said Thursday.

The police chief is now working on a plan to reopen the precinct, telling reporters calls for service “have more than tripled.”

“These are responses to emergency calls — rapes, robberies, and all sorts of violent acts that have been occurring in the area that we’re not able to get to,” she said.

Emergency response times in the area have tripled, she noted, going from just over five minutes to 18 minutes.

Well Democrats?  You don't care?

The LEFT (Democrats, Progressives, Communists) wants to ERASE the past history of the U.S.  This is Marx, Alinskey, and Cloward Piven.  Erase the past then nobody has any basis of Societal Cohesion.  Then create a NEW ONE to replace the old.  Now you have a bunch of indoctrinated, brainwashed idiots that are easily controlled.

The Police Unions may be the odd man out in this entire situation.  Yes, it will be interesting, but the true narrative of the Unions protecting BAD COPS is coming out more and more, and they may have to show at least lip service to "Police Reform" to keep the peace.  My guess is they will cut a deal with City Democrat leaders to do just that.  Nothing will actually change.  Business as usual.  Many if not most City Police Chiefs are now Black and Female it seems.  So, who is the real problem?

I'd pay good money to see Martha Raddatz lose it again on election night.

EVERY "news" anchor, pundit, commentator, etc on ALL the media outlets except Fox were in total meltdown.  Some were crying when Trump won.  And we're supposed to believe the Media is objective and NOT LEFT BIASED????

While it might not be popular to say in the wake of the recent social disorder, the true plight of black people has little or nothing to do with the police or what has been called “systemic racism.” Instead, we need to look at the responsibilities of those running our big cities.

Some of the most dangerous big cities are: St. Louis, Detroit, Baltimore, Oakland, Chicago, Memphis, Atlanta, Birmingham, Newark, Buffalo and Philadelphia. The most common characteristic of these cities is that for decades, all of them have been run by liberal Democrats. Some cities — such as Detroit, Buffalo, Newark and Philadelphia — haven’t elected a Republican mayor for more than a half-century. On top of this, in many of these cities, blacks are mayors, often they dominate city councils, and they are chiefs of police and superintendents of schools.

It has been over fifty to sixty years when a Republican was elected Mayor in any major City except New York with Giuliani who did tremendous things to clean up that city.  And as Williams said there have been many Black Mayors, City Council Members, Police Chiefs and Police Commissioners.  Yet, they blame Whitey and Republicans for the problems in the USA, IN BIG CITIES.  The Media reinforces that message and the message that we need to take all evidence of the Confederacy down.  That's the problem, not Democrat Mayors etc.

This is obviously orchestrated chaos to create civil and social to negatively affect Trump's reelection chances.  It SHOULD do just the opposite.  The Media is in a full court press to destroy Trumps' chances.

Why haven't they shut down the cell service yet?  Do none of these people actually work for a living?

Where?  Seattle?  Because the Government is allowing (supporting) it and Corporations are too scared to do anything anti BLM and anti Antifa.  For fear of being called not WOKE enough!  (Racist)

I expect there will be a lot of flash/show about the PC etc etc etc stuff.  Kind of like using "Chair" instead of "Chairman" but not actually changing attitudes.

But some (way too many) think that form/style matters more than substance and results.  So they'll continue to focus on stupid/trival things and ignore real problems.

These companies are dumping HUNDREDS of Millions of dollars into BLM and ANTIFA.  Plus they are FIRING people if they are not WOKE enough.  So it s a lot more than window dressing.

Getting to be almost impossible to find a company that won't be all "woke" and not support BLM and antifa for fear of being labeled racist.

As I've expressed previously, Corporate America has embraced the PC. Woke, SJW Progressive (thus Democrat supporting) ideology.  They must view this as the future and how to maximize future sales to the younger demographics.  They view them as the future, I assume more conservative/libertarian types as old and the past.  Freedom and Liberty seem to be old, antiquated ideals now.

This may mark the end.  When ALL the money is behind The LEFT (Democrats, Communists, Progressives) we are screwed once and for all.  Our Educational system and MEDIA did their jobs well.  Now they just wait for us to die off and move to their wonderful Socialist UTOPIA.

I’m guessing the SJWs in the front office haven’t spoken to the sales people who are selling ads to advertisers.

There will be an accounting as to what this costs them. Internally of course.

I think ALL the advertisers which for PGA are investment firms, luxury cars, watches, banks, etc are totally on board with this BLM, PC, Woke, SJW crap.  I believe Corporate America thinks that their prime demographics are now MOSTLY indoctrinated, Leftist stooges.

Oh, I forgot to mention.  Remember, Washington High School in San Francisco that removed the mural of George Washington that had been there for almost 100 years because the administration and teachers said the students felt threatened and assaulted by the images of the Indians (native Americans) and slaves?  So, 100 years of students viewing that mural and now all of a sudden they feel threatened by it???
