NPR and PBS are Far Left Progressive, so of course they are going to claim the KKK and American Nazis are a huge problem and great in number. It allows them to justify the insanity from the Left like BLM, and Antifa. They also promote that everything LGBTxyz is just perfect, and great, except for the huge, but really non-existent prejudice and persecution against them.

Afghanistan is a gold mine for military contracts. Since it's beginning the US has spent in excess of $1 trillion. These contractors reward their owned congressmen and senators very well to keep the conflict alive and well.
The current situation in Iran has the MIC giddy with the prospects of another prolonged and bogged down conflict to reap the rewards from.
Yep. I saw it from the inside as a third party vendor to a large Defense Contractor. Mostly ex Navy and a few ex Air Force brass. Hi up brass. It was common to see a lot of stars on shoulders and lapels in the elevator yucking it up with each other giddy for that next new thing the were getting from their buddies that used to be Admirals and Generals.
We don't need to be in a lot of wars we are in, and a lot of countries we are in.

I hate to be a Debbie Downer (not in a Trans way, lol!) as I am normally a very optimistic person, or I wouldn't get out of bed every day. Our only hope is that the youth of America formulate a backlash where they reject things like Socialism, Glorifying LGBT as Normal or actually preferred, a "hate America" mantra, Man causes Climate Change, and being riddled with guilt for having "White Privilege".
Right now they think all those things are cool, and trendy, and like lemmings gravitate towards that. They are the product of in your face indoctrination and brainwashing by all the institutions in the U.S. and world for that matter. We have to make traditional American values cool again.

« on: June 13, 2019, 01:58:29 PM »Not necessarily germane to this thread, but Leslie were in a hotel room last night. It was raining so we watched "Still Laugh In" on Netflix.
Parts of it were funny as well as nostalgic. They had some of the old cast and did some skits that were similar to the old show.
But first I noticed that the language was peppered with "FUCK" (ing, er, ed etc). The original show didn't need to resort to that, although that doesn't personally offend me.
But the show was filled with Trump insults. The kicker that made me turn it off was when they presented the "Fickle Finger of Fate" award (remember that) to "That whiny little bitch, TRUMP).
Sad. The original Laugh In, like Carson and others who would poke fun at politicians was much different. I liked the original Laugh In as a little kid, and thought when the had people like Nixon and John Wayne on was hilarious. Nixon saying "Sock it to me" was effing hilarious.

I don't think any of the traditional Democrat voting blocks will flip. Blacks, Jews, Urbanites, affluent women, Union workers, government workers, etc. I think a few may defect, but not in the numbers the Republicans need to win. Add the ILLEGALS, and the younger people (Millennials, etc) who've been indoctrinated by Education, Entertainment, and the Media, and I am not optimistic.

It's not just the Coastal Elites, however they alone could control the politics of the country, especially if the EC is eliminated. It is the Metro Areas in every state that has one or more large cities. These are the base of the Dems, not the rust belt people that actually work. The game changer has been al the suburbs going Democrat. This is huge as these areas have grown tremendously. They represent large swaths of population.

I think the Democrats are more, and more reflecting mainstream Democrats which are now Far Left Utopianists. They've never faced real adversity, and they have the time and money to want Socialism, Gun bans and confiscation, and huge Climate Change taxes, and higher product/services costs all around. The USA women thumped Thailand 13-0. The wrap up afterwards had a panel of two women and two men. The two men had differing opinions on the scoring. One of them stated that the women should have "pulled their punches" while the other said, "hell no, they did what they're supposed to do". I figure man #1 was a Liberal while man #2 was much more of a conservative.
And the anti American LGBT activist, ugly, angry Lesbian "teammate" Megan Rapinoe kneeled during the National Anthem in a foreign country protesting Trump and the U.S. She is on the U.S. TEAM!
