Democrats lashed out in all directions at President Trump after he won concessions from Mexico to try to stop the flow of illegal immigrants at the border.
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi chided the president Saturday for his method, saying his threat of tariffs was unbecoming of a friendly country’s treatment of a neighbor.
But Senate Minority Leader Charles E. Schumer took a different approach, saying — seemingly with as much sarcasm as can drip on Twitter — that since Mr. Trump has struck a deal, he can stop talking about illegal immigration.
“Now that that problem is solved, I’m sure we won’t be hearing any more about it in the future,” Mr. Schumer said.
Just days before Mr. Schumer had predicted Mr. Trump would cave and find a reason to revoke his tariff threat.
But the threat appears to have worked both to bring Mexico to the negotiating table and to win concessions that the Mexican government had been reluctant to agree to, including cooperating with the U.S. to hold Central American asylum-seekers while they are awaiting their cases in the U.S.
This entire issue is the culmination of the “Participation Trophy” crowd growing up into stunted, immature, petulant child-like young adults, and their parents who didn’t want any of their feelings or self-esteem to be harmed. Those parents are now school administrators who are perpetuating the hobbling of these lemmings.
Pathetic. 75 years ago 18-year olds stormed the beaches of Normandy in the face of machine guns, mortars, and big guns. Nowadays these kids can’t face a speaker who does not speak in lockstep with their own orthodoxy.

I guess my understanding is its under student affairs and each student union is responsible for their own shindig.
They aren't in lieu of the cap and gown commencement ceremony rather some extra stuff put on by student groups you can attend if you feel the need to.
I guess I just don't see much of an issue if a student groups wants to do something for themselves in addition to the main event, the only thing VAT is contributing is hosting.
You’ve said that twice but the article said in several places they were separate “graduation ceremonies.” That sounds a LOT different than a gay kegger (Stella Artois?) in the College Union.
During 2016 we had the democrat VP candidate's son actively participating in ANTIFA. And the MSM covered it up.
(CNN)Linwood Michael Kaine, a son of Virginia senator and former vice presidential candidate Tim Kaine, faces misdemeanor charges in Minnesota after an incident at a pro-Donald Trump rally in March.
Kaine, 24, was charged Friday by prosecutors in St. Paul with fleeing on foot, concealing identity in a public place, and obstructing the legal process by interfering with a peace officer.
The obstruction charge is a gross misdemeanor, which carries a possible sentence of up to one year in prison and a fine of as much as $3,000.
