The governor also already announced his replacement, so this will be an embarrassing moment for the Democrats if he stays. Not to mention, there was actual proof for at least one allegation against him.

If Franken was in close special election and the vote was next week, none of these Democrats would have said a word. Alabama voters should send Roy Moore to the Senate and let the Senate ethics committee handle the allegations. They have no obligation to vote against their interests by sending a progressive Democrat to the Senate.

Dems know they can pretend to have the moral high ground because the MN gov will just appoint another Dem. No moral high ground here, just standard politics.

Well they have to have SOME documentation, or they couldn't get benefits.  So their documentation must be illegal.  Stolen identity, etc.
