It cannot be made any clearer: The discussion is here to be had, your opinion and input are valuable, but you can back out anytime if something offends you. A better approach would be to ignore, or just critically scan, the comments of the person who has offended you. There may still be something valuable in other things they have to say.
Everyone here seems to misunderstand me. I'm not offended. I don't identify as a liberal, so it doesn't bother me personally. I also don't believe in putting anyone on "ignore". It's silly.
The point of my original response was a request that maybe we start this forum off as a more intelligent place than the old Spin Zone was and try to refrain from name calling, insults and gross generalizations. The old Spin Zone was often just a school yard squabble with no real argument, but just contradiction and insults.
Anyhow, the suggestion seems to have fallen on deaf ears. It seems the freedom to insult people is held more dear than the ideal of a good debate. So be it. Like I have said, I'm not here to censor anybody (even if I could) or go all touchy feely PC on people. I can play the school yard way too, but I fear it will get boring, turn people off once the loudest bullies take over and this site will never get any bigger, or better.
