BUT… it’s not an insurrection.
In keeping with thread title … saw today that public school teachers in Portland, Oregon ALL are on strike today.
Their demands:
—23% pay increase (well yes, prices have shot up enormously recently … we’re all seeing that)
—Better tools for discipline (yes again … at last! Crack down!)
—Housing for students with no homes “so each student can get the best public school education possible.”
WHAT??
I’m reminded of the wonderful G.K. Chesterton quote, “The Progressive, generation after generation, ties himself up into new knots, and then roars and yells aloud to be untied.”
The car companies are going to dump EVs, watch.
There was some little idiot on Twitter on a video looked about 19 years old saying you have to vote for Biden because we don’t want another horrible Trump term.
Fucking infant. No doubt still lives with mommy and daddy doesn’t buy his own groceries or have a 401k that’s flatlined since Biden took office. Wasn’t even born when 9/11 happened and has no clue how international politics works. This country is in extreme danger and we have spoiled little brats voting that have no goddamn idea what they’re doing.
There will also be people voting in 2024 that are apparently too old to remember 9/11.
Why isn't this being reported in the mainstream media outing the FBI as Fascist, corrupt, and operating illegally against the American Citizen?
BLM supports Hamas, so there’s that.

You have got to see this for R. Lee Ermey’s performance alone. I understand “Gunny” ad-libbed a bunch of dialogue in that movie.
I have never seen that movie!
Glass or gas fireplace? We have a gas starter in our fireplace, but my wife is allergic to wood smoke. We are thinking about what to do there. She likes the look of the glass pebbles with the flame coming out but an alternative is to convert to gas flame with the concrete wood looking logs. Either way we need to replace the firebox and we're just not motivated enough for that yet. Maybe when the snow starts flying and a fire in the fireplace would be very cozy.
I'm all electric. We have a natural gas, underground pipeline going through my neighborhood, but no gas service to our homes. Ironic, huh? I could get propane, but that's more expensive, so I just deal with the electric stove with coils. Thank God, no glass top!.
