That was a decent answer. But there has been much discussion over that awkward phrase for years. As is, it could be parsed and interpreted in different ways.

Personally, if I saw someone applying with a degree from Wayne State I'd want to hire them. I'd be impressed they survived the experience. They wanted to hire me at one point. The day after my interview one of the faculty was shot by his own student.
