Spin Zone / Re: Poor Russell Brand is lost

Talking to the city folks, there's a disconnect between the rural people who do stuff with dirt and plants and animals and the food that is all nicely laid out in their Whole Foods Store.  The groceries look nothing like anything they see from 30,000 feet as they fly to their summer homes on the other coast.  A steak looks nothing like a cow, so there's no thought about all the effort that goes into ranching.  Or farming.  Or fishing.

We should do what France is doing and show No Farmers, No Food.

He's spot on.  It is Authoritarian Elite versus Libertarian (just leave me alone and let me live my life types).  The Metro area Elite (cities, burbs and now ex-burbs) hate anyone that doesn't think exactly like them, and want to control others and FORCE them to capitulate, conform and submit to their rules.  Again, it's why they hate that legal citizens can own guns.

It's not accidental that the people they hate are the actual producers of the food, electricity, housing, transportation, etc. etc. without us they couldn't survive in their cities and burbs.  They despise the dependency which is just under the surface of their conscious awareness.

Who would have thought steel toe boots would be a good thing to wear at the RC field?  And chain mail gloves?   Maybe a face shield?  ;D

Of course, what was I thinking?  Or maybe it's more like, "only if their accusee is not liberal".

Sorry to read of it happening. Sounds like he's been dealt a bad hand. Expect premiums on your RC airplane insurance to go up or even be denied for the next three years. He might be forced to fly naked.

My wife is having her Neuro stimulator installed today. The prep nurse was swapping for MRSA and I asked if they tested for COVID. She said no, very few hospitalizations and the symptoms are usually slight.  I said, you mean like a cold and she chuckled.  I think I like her.

The media was making a big deal about  how well the anti-Trump people did.  They probably realize that most of the Rs that voted for Haley will vote for Trump if/when he gets the nomination, but won't say that.

While most Ds are never-Trumpers, I don't think there are as many R never-Trumpers as the media pretends.

I know that if/when Trump gets the nomination, I will happily vote for him.

Trump texted me and told me. He’s also begging me to come to Mar A Largo and take a selfie with him. The guy won’t leave me alone.

You too? And here I thought he was singling me out. 😭 😎

The founding fathers never intended career politicians.  IMO that was one fatal flaw in not putting term limits in the constitution.  But at that point in time the intent was the states would control the majority of the government with the federal government taking a minor role.

At this point, it's too far gone.

The FF also did not intend on everyone voting.

I agree with the FF on this.  Voters need skin in the game.

Senator Tim Scott (South Carolina) is not endorsing his former governor, Nikki Haley.  He is endorsing Trump.

Charley, a new retiree-greeter at Walmart, just couldn't seem to get to work on time. Every day he was 5, 10, 15 minutes late. But he was a good worker, really tidy, clean-shaven, sharp-minded and a real credit to the company obviously demonstrating their "Older Person Friendly" policies.

One day the boss called him into the office for a talk. "Charley, I have to tell you, I like your work ethic, you do a bang-up job when you finally get here, but your being late so often is quite bothersome.""Yes sir, I know, and I am working on it.""Well good, you are a team player. That's what I like to hear.”“Yes sir, I understand your concern and I’ll try harder.”

Seeming puzzled, the manager went on to comment, “It's odd though you're coming in late. I know you're retired from the Armed Forces. What did they say to you there if you showed up in the morning so late and so often?"

The old man looked down at the floor and smiled. He chuckled quietly, then said with a grin,"They usually saluted and said, 'Good morning General, may I get your coffee Sir?'"

Man’s technology is going to render us extinct one way or another. A virus with a 100% kill rate, or AI, or nuclear holocaust.  I don’t see how we can avoid it.
The common factor is stupidity.  And it's increasing at an exponential rate.

So raise prices on everything by 30% to 50%.  Then slow the increase to 2%.  Declare victory.  Fuck the evil, cowardly, pathetic scum.
