I can never get a decent answer to these questions.

1. What is government going to do with the money from all the new taxes, surcharges, and fees on fossil fuels that will help man made climate change?

2. As the climate changes naturally, and constantly, how do you measure the effect of Man's measures to reduce CO2, "carbon" etc. on the climate?

3. How do you address the devastating economic effects of making energy, and all products, and services much more expensive for the poor, and middle income earner?
To answer your first question, I think Obama’s $800 billion “stimulus” created a model for what would happen to money extracted for “climate change.”

Of the $800 billion:
-$200b on tax credits they no one saw
-$89b to education programs
-$88b to medicare and Medicaid shortfalls
-$61b to unemployment insurance
-$33 billion - 4% - went to “shovel ready” transportation projects.

4% went where we were told it would be going. 4%.  The reset was payback to unions and other constituencies.

^^^This. The problem is: “doing something about it” has consequences- known consequences- devastating economic consequences. All for a hypothetical and unproven future benefit.
Even if the science is “science”, the ”cure” is pure religion. Not politics, religion. We are asked - TOLD - that surrendering our liberty and our treasure to the government is mandatory in order to cure the planet, and anything less is effectively murder. And we are being told this not by scientists, but by politicians who have no more knowledge of this topic than my English Labrador.

So pardon me if I say “Fuck you” when you (basically the left, not you Rush) call me a science denier. I don’t deny science, I reject what this MMCC religion has done to science.

I hope every 435 of them get an incurable case of herpes. Fuckers.

They being said, Paul Ryan and the Republicans ran in 2010 on transparency and giving members x hours to read a bill before voting on it. He never kept that promise either.

Where is Tom Clancy when you need him?

Oh... macaques are horrible, evil things. Worse than rats. Sewer rats with four hands and opposable thumbs. They unlock doors and get into your kitchen cupboards. They jump on your back and grab food right out of your hand. They pick stuff off each other's anuses and eat it. They raid and decimate crops. They are vermin. Literally vermin in many countries, dangerous pests, breeding disease and endangering people.

The only non-human primate I hate worse are Baboons with their hideous elongated snout. Like werewolves but they're real.

That being said, I can fall in love with a particular macaque.  Hua hua of YouTube fame, or Amari at the Phnom Tamao center in Cambodia.

Actually I don't hate them. What I hate is when people put their lives over human lives. Like the Topeng Monyet of Jakarta. Street performances using macaques put on by starving impoverished people. There's animal rights activists all concerned about the poor monkeys and trying to get this made illegal while not giving a flying fig about the poverty of the humans suffering just as much in the hot street just to get money for that day's meal. Self righteous, arrogant, first world moralists make me sick.

Chimpanzees are assholes. But I love Bonobos and Orangutans. There are some really nice species of monkey, and rare ones who deserve to be protected, such as the beautiful red-shanked Douc of Vietnam.  Bonobos REALLY need to be protected - maybe the one and only species I care a great deal about going extinct. They are sweet, loving, intelligent and second only to human as the best of the primates, and they're going fast.
They ALL creep me out.  The idea of taking a vacation to Cambodia or wherever that they have those monkeys running all over climbing on your back etc grossed me out. Put a clown suit on them and you may as well shoot me. John Wayne Gacy ruined clowns for generations, not that I was a big fan of clowns before Gacy assumed room temperature.

Great pilot, great man.  Supposedly a real asshole too.
Totally true, from what I’ve heard from
People with direct personal knowledge.

I tend to agree on mid engine cars.  I owned an Acura NSX for awhile, it was a pure joy to drive.

I had a chance to drive my friends Ferrari F355 Spyder.  The most fun you can have with your clothes on.
My God. I feel like my Undergraduate Pilot Training class is getting fighters, and I got a C-130.

I love my Ford F-150 by the way.

OK.  I'll bring my Colt Python to shoot the pythons.  :)
I’ve been looking for a full size revolver and WOW, those old Colt revolvers are becoming valuable!

Yep.
https://www.cnn.com/2019/02/09/politics/tax-code-early-returns-data/index.html
Big headline: Average tax refund down 8% so far this season
Then way down the text:So you have to adjust your withholdings so you get the largest refund possible?  Yeah, that makes sense.
Well it’s CNN so.....

Great role models, huh?
Look at some of the great Louder with Crowder videos on YouTube.  He tries to have the most civil discussions with liberals, typically on college campuses, and he often has difficulty doing it without the assembled mob trying to shout him down and shut him up.

It's a start.  It can be built in phases, but yeah they are in a testicle free zone.
We could have had the entire Taj Mahal Wall built in full if Paul Ryan wasn’t a petulant dickhead and McConnell started to act like a majority leader and got rid of the unconstitutional cloture rule.

Many, not all, Liberal/Progressives are angry, jealous, envious people.  They are also control freaks, and project their weaknesses, insecurities, and character flaws onto others.
I’ve never seen a more mean, depressed, angry, violent, vengeful, petulant, unhappy group of people in my life as I see in Democrats right now.

Cowboys are racist and sexist.  Hate Indians, use women, drink, gamble, fight, work hard, carry guns.  Racist, sexist, homophobic.  Real men.

I got your Trail of Tears right here!!!
Sounds like college.

How does this mesh with rollback of Payday Lending rules?
Unrelated. A lender, whether it’s a bank or an auto maker, can make loans if they want to. They will get a depreciating asset back if the borrower defaults. I’m not aware of any securitized auto loans in the financial markets so it’s really a borrower/lender risk reward scenario. As long as the government stays the fuck out of it, it should self-correct.

Speaking of the 21% corporate rate change, I just discovered the 199A rule where pass through businesses can take a 20% deduction off their QBI (qualified business income) if they are under the total income limit.  That’s because the 21% corporate rate is lower than the personal rate once you get out of the bottom bracket. Pass through companies such as sole proprietorships, partnerships or S corps shouldn’t have to pay a higher rate than big corporations (unless you’re “rich” apparently... defined as $157,500 if single and $315,000 married joint)  They thought everyone would rush to incorporate and stop filing their business with their personal 1040. So this rule is meant to adjust for that. Once you hit those income levels the deduction is gradually phased out and also does not apply if you are in a list of specific trades or businesses (SSTB), however the SSTB exclusion does not apply if you are under those limits.

So my question is, if the corporate rate change is permanent, does the 199A rule also stay? I should think it would be even more applicable if the personal rate goes back up. Maybe they should even increase the deduction over 20%.
Section 199A brings the top individual rate of 37% down to an effective tax rate on qualified business income of 29.6%, presuming your business qualifies for the full 20%. Lots of requirements to get there.

(.37*(1-.20))

Sec. 199A expires for tax years beginning after 2025, the same time the top individual rate moves back up to 39.6%.

Not well thought out by Congress.
