Spin Zone / Biden Speech Highlights Racist Democrats
« on: January 12, 2022, 03:46:15 PM »
I know Biden isn’t aware of something called “Wikipedia,” but does he realize that in his contrasts (“Do you want to be in the side of Doctor King or George Wallace?”), EACH of the “bad” contrasts - Jefferson Davis, Bull Conner, George Wallace - were DEMOCRATS?

Ok, that’s just the name of an outstanding 70’s band that plays here in Southeast Wisconsin.  However, the band fulfills my nostalgia for some of the best music ever made.

Recently my daughter turned me on to Spotify vs Pandora, and I just learned that I could listen to entire albums on Spotify, the way God intended for music to be heard. The good news is with a little tinnitus I can still hear the hiss from playing vinyl albums.

I just got done listening to one of the best albums of all time:

Eagles:  Hotel California

Others on my list will be:

Cheap Trick:  Live at Budokan

REO Speedwagon:  You Can Tune a Piano, But You Can’t Tune a Fish

Billy Joel:  The Stranger

Bob Seger:  Stranger in Town

What say you?

Spin Zone / Linebacker II December 1972
« on: December 31, 2021, 09:14:10 AM »
I found this picture from Anderson AFB, Guam, just before Linebacker II. Look at all those B-52s. I sent my buddy (who flew KC-135s in the Gulf of Tonkin as well as for SAC after Vietnam) and Warbird mentor the following question:

 Vic,

This was posted somewhere as being an aerial view of Anderson AFB circa December, 1972, just before Operation Linebacker II.  Were you there?  I had no idea that base was that big.

Stan

Here was his humble response:

“Yep,I was there during Linebacker 2.There was a Soviet sub right off the end of the runway that would relay when and how many Buffs took off and then they could figure when they could expect the raid and consequently be VERY ready. We would take off right before the Buffs and refuel them prestrike..There was still a Japanese soldier from WW2 on the island at that time.He thought the Buffs were still bombing Japan. He surrendered a few years later. It seemed you always took off over the 500' cliffs and then landed over them...Vic .”

Spin Zone / RIP John Madden
« on: December 28, 2021, 08:30:55 PM »
The NFL became a lesser place when he retired.

I don’t have any celebrity heroes, but having been a lineman in HS and college football, he loved the guys in the trenches. He loved the nastiness. He loved the hardest hits of the game.  You didn’t make it to the All Madden team if you weren’t a tough guy.

Those guys don’t exist in the NFL any more.

Spin Zone / Liberal men getting vasectomies to protest TX law
« on: December 28, 2021, 05:56:24 AM »
This may be the first and last time I agree with liberal men. However, don’t be pussies - make sure the vasectomy is irreversible, or consider castration as an alternative, since liberal men don’t use their testicles anyway.

Apparently, writing the N word IN DUST ON THE TOP OF A LOCKER is now an “incident” worthy of investigation by two school districts, keeping your little Karens at home, and releasing the story to multiple media outlets.

It was DUST for God’s sake.

https://www.wisn.com/article/n-word-scrawled-across-school-locker-room-before-jv-game/38508826

How soft have we become?  My God, we are the laughing stock of the world.

I remember in the 1970s the TV show called “Room 222”.  It took place in a high school, and in one episode the word “Fag” was spray painted on lockers in the hallway.  Somehow, we could figure that this out and resolve such things in an hour long show, but not in a high school in 2021.

Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert had a show by this name in Chicago.

I thought it would be cool to start at thread about movies that we might recommend. It doesn’t have to be aviation movies, but that would be awesome too.

I saw a movie tonight on Netflix called “The Grizzlies.”  It’s based on a true story about a new Canadian teacher who taught Inuit students the sport of lacrosse to improve their lives.

Here’s the IMBd.

… of Rittenhouse being a white supremacist.

Seems like it’s just about rage against whitey, and Trump, and NOTHING about Rittenhouse.

https://townhall.com/tipsheet/rebeccadowns/2021/11/21/derrick-johnson-on-face-the-nation-n2599438

Full of lies by the way. The “protests” we NOT peaceful, and Jacob Blake (guy shot by LEO) was NOT innocent.

MARGARET BRENNAN: Kyle Rittenhouse, as you know, has become this sort of icon for some within the conservative movement. He was used back -- during the campaign by the - - by the then Biden campaign team in a campaign video that positioned him as a white supremacist. His mother said that was defamatory to him.
The bottom line is, this is being politicized. And I'm wondering what you think the impact of that is.
DERRICK JOHNSON: Well, the current political environment has allowed for this type of behavior. The prior administration's opened the door. And many individuals who operate under the banner of white supremacy have run through the door, whether it's Charlottesville or the killings in Pittsburgh at the synagogue, or in Louisville.
And, unfortunately, until we have mature politicians willing to stand up, regardless of political affiliations, and address the questions of mob violence, vigilantism, but more importantly, the underlying issue of race in this country, something we have never truly addressed.
MARGARET BRENNAN: But there is no evidence of him being a white supremacist himself, correct?
DERRICK JOHNSON: Well, it's not about the evidence of him being a white supremacist. It is about the position that individuals like him find themselves in where they think they have to go and protect property because of peaceful protest in some cases of Black Lives Matter organizing.
MARGARET BRENNAN: Right.
DERRICK JOHNSON: Black Lives Matter is a values proposition. It's not an organization, in one sense, it's not about a hash tag, it's a value proposition that the lives of African-Americans have been diminished, and our lives matter. And when you have scenarios like what took place in Wisconsin that caused people to stand up for this police officer who paralyzed another innocent individual, you have to begin to ask -- we have to ask ourselves the questions, do we value the lives of not only African-Americans, but everyone? And what -- what he did was take up the mantle because the political climate allowed for him to do that.
We had a white supremacist in the White House, and it opened the door to this floodgate of vigilante violence. And that's the real question here.

Spin Zone / “It sounds like the revolution has started”

And in other news...call it what you want; civil war, revolution, but...remember the findings of the 9/11 commission that said of Al-Quaida "we weren't at war with them, but they were at war with us?"

Wellllll...

A BLM activist believes the Waukesha massacre is the start of the revolution. If this is true, many, many people will die. BLM needs to tread lightly.

Pilot Zone / Abandoned and Little Known Airfields

Since Dr Peter keeps trying to turn this pilot site into an aviation site , I thought I’d share a really great website. You’d be surprised how many of us drive over, live on, or shop at places that used to be an airport. Kind of depressing actually.

http://www.airfields-freeman.com/index.htm

I used to live near the Glenview Naval Air Station. That was the first place I knew I wanted to be a pilot, when I saw the Blue Angels perform in their F-4 Phantoms in the early 1970s. This site has a fascinating history of that field.

Spin Zone / Wisconsin Election Commission Committed Felony Election Fraud
« on: October 28, 2021, 05:06:38 PM »
A bombshell in Wisconsin: Investigators in Racine County have presented extensive evidence that the Wisconsin Election Commission committed a felony by telling nursing home staff members to illegally cast ballots for residents. This led to dozens of documented instances of severely mentally impaired residents at a nursing home in Mount Pleasant mysteriously voting even though their loved ones said they would not even know how to vote.

Pathetic indoctrinated and brainwashed people making assumptions on something for which they have no fucking idea.

We are past the point of no return. We will never coexist with our fellow Americans. I see certain civil war.

Pilot Zone / Pirep: Bose Corporation
« on: October 12, 2021, 06:56:52 PM »
I had a 10-year old Bose A20 headset that was in desperate need of refurbishment. The batteries would only last 1-2 flights, the cable was cracked, the ear pads were pulling out and torn.

At OSH Bose told me that they usually do refurbishments at the show, but because of Covid, they couldn’t do that. But they wanted to see my headset, recorded the serial number, and handed me a card for a 50% discount off their usual $225 refurbishment cost. I had to pay for shipping there, but they paid for return shipping via UPS.

I sent it in during the last week in September, and just got it back today. Bose replaced the ear cups, the cord and the battery control unit, the head band pads, and the mic - seems like everything except for the ear cups and hard head band. All for $112.50 plus tax, and I basically have a brand new Bose A20.

I purchased a David Clark One-X before sending in my Bose, so now I’ll use the DCs in my NAvion, while my pax get a nice, comfy Bose.

Well done, Bose.
