Just like the fucking Paul Wellstone funeral.

Watch Tucker Carlson from last night.

I’m a conservative with libertarian leanings, and I’m hesitant to support government interference in commerce, but these tech giants have become media monopolies which are protected by the US Government. Maybe an oligopoly is a better term.

We used to break up monopolies. Remember renting phones from Ma Bell?  Remember paying premiums for interstate vs intrastate phone calls?

I think it’s time for the Justice Department to either break up this cabal, or make them operate under the rules of that other media used to be required to  follow, for whatever that’s worth.

LOL!  Yes, that could be a problem, but I think I can deal with it.  Closest I could find for you Joe.  :)

Now, if I could only find a Kristi Noem clone to be a flying partner.  Hmmm.......
Sorry Anthony. I checked the FAA airman registry and the only Noem in it is Jeremy Alfred Noem, and he’s just a drone “pilot.”

Always trying to help you buddy.

I'm still annoyed with them for changing their name.
That was about 18 years ago. Let it go.

I'm envious!  I've never flown a tail wheel airplane as I couldn't justify the rental expense as an aircraft owner.  The C-170 is probably one of the better ones to learn on.  Great airplane for sure.  My perspective is that things happen very quickly so you must be spring loaded on the rudder to counteract the winds.  You pretty much confirmed that.
Anthony, have you considered the Commemorative Air Force?  The Delaware Valley Wing flies out of Princeton Airport in NJ, and has a Stinson Model 10/L-9. I’m not sure if they are looking for more pilots, but if they are, this is the cheapest way to get into a tailwheel Warbird.

Check out www.delawarevalleywing-caf.org.

I’d be happy to talk to you more about it offline.

Spring loaded is right.  Things do happen very quickly if you're not paying attention.  My flying has always been reactive... notice something not right and fix it.  That works pretty well when things go wrong slowly.  When things go wrong quickly it doesn't matter how tight the spring is, you'll be too late.  What the ground loop taught me is to always pay attention and don't tolerate anything that is off.  If it's just a little off, it will only get worse.  Fix it now.  Better yet, fix it before it gets off at all.  I'm getting to the point where it feels natural to anticipate what's going on and it's getting more unconscious.  And now I REALLY have to concentrate to make sure that natural != complacent.  It's an amazing learning experience.
Totally awesome!  Congratulations. I haven’t flown a tailwheel for about 14 months but hope to get back to our CAF Wisconsin Wing’s 1943 Fairchild PT-26 Cornell one we receive our new magneto.

Did the POA spin off SZ experiment fail?
Not for me. I was on vacation last week (ordinarily my Oshkosh week, so I took it off anyway), and checked out of most everything.

I didn’t log into work or check work emails.

I didn’t address personal emails.

I didn’t watch Tucker Carlson, or anything political.

I didn’t log onto SZ for the reasons above.

I did fly to Bessie’s Diner at Janesville (JVL) for lunch with 3 friends and fellow Warbird pilots.

I did fly to OSH, just because.

I did fly to a Food Truck Friday’s lunch at Waukesha (UES).

I did restart studying for my commercial cert - didn’t get very far - Wx was too nice.

I did spend a couple days (literally) hassling with Verizon and upgrading 3 iPhones to iPhone 11’s.

I did spend several afternoons and evenings day drinking with friends at a buddy’s hangar.

I did record and watch old episodes of M.A.S.H. and Columbo some evenings, because there literally isn’t anything else worth watching any more.

I did try to check out of most things that provide stress, and do things that relieve stress.

Remember in the old days (like February) when the biggest problem we had was plastic straws?  Good times. Good times.

It's her choice, I suppose she will just let god fire her instead.

Actually, I think the President could nominate someone, and probably get them approved.  I would feel sorry for that nominee, because whoever it is will be dragged through the mud.
I believe the person on deck is the Catholic woman who serves on the 7th Circuit.

I feel very bad for her presuming she accepts the nomination.

Do you think Trump will trade in Pence for Kristi?
Not at this point. Pence has done a great job.

fair enough.  I stand corrected.

Since when has the MSM gotten the story straight?

I have to recalibrate my BS detector when looking at MSM reports.
I totally understand.

It’s frightening how the MSM can manipulate even rock-ribbed conservatives sometimes.

I hate everyone and trust no one, but I still get tripped up sometimes.

Bypassing the CDC, the white house is now requiring data from hospitals sent directly to the white house.

<sigh>  what a stupid thing to do.
But that’s not what’s really happening.

There was no change.  The data doesn't go to the White House, it goes to Health and Human Services. The CDC is a unit under HHS.  So no real change.
Exactly.
