The Smartcarry was the Thunderwear to which I refer. Unless they are two different brands.

I have found two different types of cops. Those who don’t believe citizens should carry, and those who do and actually like you if you have a carry permit because it means you’ve been background checked and are very unlikely to be a threat. It’s possible PA has more of the former and NC more of the latter.

I think you're right.  I know some cops at my gun club and I ask them that, and their response is "People that have passed background checks commit crime too".  I respond by saying, "but at what percentage?  Who is MORE LIKELY to commit a crime???"  Crickets......     ::)

When I carry, it's always condition 1. One may not have time and/or a hand free to rack the thing.

I consider a gun without a round chambered to be unloaded.

Nuke them from space.  It's the only solution.

Sometimes perspective helps. The DOW was at 18,847 on 11.7.2016 and had risen to 20,093 by 1.23.17. It reached a peak of 29,398 before the virus hit. It is currently around 24,302 as I write this. The DOW rose 10,581 since election day and is still 5,455 ahead of where it was on 11.7.2016. It is still up more than it is down today from the peak.

I posted this on FB earlier in the week.

I was thinking that earlier today, as I've seen the markets start to rebound recently.  I think the DOW dipped just under 20,000 at its lowest due to the Virus scare.  I think when things start to reopen in the next few weeks it will surge again.

Yep, we've seen that here with a few as well.

A few?

I've never heard of a virus as infectious with such dire consequences for so many.

Me neither.  You are exactly correct.

We can thank the government and the lawyers for that.

And the MEDIA most of all.  I swear there needs to be the ANTI MEDIA party.

But hey, at least Trump didn’t intern all Chinese Americans like FDR did to the Japanese Americans.

If he did "intern" them, he'd have to keep them away from Bill Clinton.  LOL!    ;D

But, seriously.  No tickee, no laundry.

^^^^^^Racist!

I can understand the concern (I'm old enough to qualify for the early hours).

My counter to the wear-a-mask hysteria:  the general public is completely ignorant with respect to the proper method to wear a mask and the necessary hand discipline to make a mask effective.

The N95 mask (which we are told should be reserved for medical professionals) is the only mask that provides better than 60% filtering effectiveness (it is something like 97%).  Other masks provide some filtering for inhalation and much much less filtration for exhalation.  In other words, they leak and leak badly.

For kicks and giggles, watch people who wear a mask.  Look at the number of people that leave the nose exposed, look at the number of people who pull the mask down and then put it back, look at the number of people who touch their face and/or mask... repeatedly.  All of these actions greatly reduce the already low low low effectiveness of wearing masks in public.

Requiring people to wear pink running shoes would be just about as effective.

I do think wearing a mask is akin to "Health THEATER", just like the TSA at airports is Security Theater.  People at risk should probably stay home, and have groceries and other essentials delivered but that should not be mandatory nor mandated by government.

I've been wearing a Cowboy hat, mask and six gun for several days now.  Living out my childhood fantasies.  Next week I'm going to pretend to be a pilot.

Is that an indication that you think that they're being censored by some form of government agency?

So government agencies are the only ones that can censor?  How about private companies (publicly traded) that are virtual MONOPOLIES and act like UTILITIES yet only censor Conservative content and promote all things Progressive and DEMOCRAT.     >:(

If you take things in their proper context, you need to watch Bill Bryan. He is the Science and Technology Director for Homeland Security. Below is the video for the entire press conference. Skip ahead to minute 19 of the video when he speaks and watch the entire 7-8 minutes in its context.

What you will hear about are the various tests that they are conducting regarding the coronavirus. Sunlight and UV light have the best direct effect on the virus.

You will also hear – FROM HIM – that they are testing disinfectants that are readily available, which included bleach and isopropyl alcohol.

Trump comes to the podium afterwards and is commenting on what Mr. Bryan had presented, in which he mentioned disinfectants – which is what everyone is talking about. There's also a short section around the 49 minute mark when a reporter asked him about it.

I just think it's disgusting to purposely skew what's true for political purposes when we should be using all of our efforts to nullify the effects of the virus.

We have to understand that Trump can do no right for some people. If he doesn't heed the scientists - he's terrible. Here, he listens to what the scientists are saying and makes comments - and he is taken out of context, and he is terrible.

I hope being royally pissed enhances the immune system.

This is the biggest Cluster F*ck of my lifetime, and we've allowed it to happen, although I don't know what the hell else one can do.
