I suspect what we would actually get from a CoS is abortion on demand, stricter gun control and illegal alien voting rights.

Please go read on how a Convention of States actually works.

We ended up going to Fkg Cracker Barrell. Big feast planned at daughter’s but grandson came up with the flu. It was too late to get a Turkey so we headed out for Chinese, and they were closed! So Cracker Cracker it was.

Definitely miss turkey leftovers and turkey w/ mayonnaise sammich.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone.  Today is my wife’s birthday, Thursday is Thanksgiving, and on Friday I’m heading out on a long weekend to celebrate our 40th anniversary. I don’t think I’ll be loitering here too much over the next few days, so cheers!

Congratulations! Have fun! Happy Thanksgiving to all.

Spin Zone / Some good election news

We worked hard on a campaign for Port Commissioner and our candidate just won! The Port runs the airport and was running it into the ground with woke, stupid decisions. They stopped helping host events at the airport to bring life to it. They balked at everything good in aviation.  They ran the Port into big debt. They fell for green energy grifting companies that later disappeared. They turned away a turbine repair company because it would be too noisy! Idiots and woke narcissists all, from the manager to two of the commissioners on the three-person board.

But a few years ago we also campaigned for that third commissioner and she won! But she kept pretty quiet until we could get our guy on there. Now we have an aviation majority!

We’re pretty thrilled. I bet the Port manager is getting her resume together. She’ll never survive with all that real energy and capability on the commission. The coolest thing is that the guy who just won tonight was the Port manager for 17 years and the current creeps forced him out. He retired, and now can visit karma on them all.

I'm moving right along with the instrument training.  Lots of weather cancellations, though.  Third lesson done... "Bravo" pattern with lots of timing and turns.  One normal and one partial panel.  Turns out that partial panel with two 275s is not as traumatic as with steam gauges.  Just press the button on the second 275 to turn it from nav to attitude indicator etc. and you just carry on.  Still a challenge to fly, keep everything on track, and enter stuff in the GPS while bouncing around in turbulence.  But slowly getting better at it.

From RFK’s campaign website.

“During Jim Crow, Black banks, businesses, hospitals, schools, and farms were targeted for destruction. Racists knew that without these, the Black community had no chance of building wealth. We must set federal dollars aside to rebuild Black infrastructure.

These programs complement direct redress payments or tax credits to the descendants of the victims of Jim Crow and other victims of persecution.  RFK Jr. will find ways to offer this redress that are legal, fair, and win the approval of Americans of all races.”

There is no "black infrastructure". Roads and water mains are not supposed to be racist. Dumping money into communities populated mostly by blacks will not fix the problem which was caused by Democrat policies in the first place. You have to reverse the policies that created gang culture, welfare queens, removed jobs from cities, strangled black owned businesses with regulations, etc. Oh, and start prosecuting crime again. Rescind all gun control and allow blacks to legally be armed in high crime areas, and ban prosecution of business owners or other victims who shoot looters and robbers.

Having said that, I'm all for putting money there instead of housing illegals, which need to be deported right back to where they came from.

I think you mean McConnell.

Regardless, we have 16 members of Congress 80 or older, plus 1 president.

Feinstein - D - 89
Grassley - R - 89
Napolitano - D - 86
Norton - D - 85
Pascrell - D - 85
Rogers - R - 85
Waters - D - 85
Hoyer - D - 84
Pelosi - D - 83
Clyburn - D - 83
Sanders - I - 81
McConnell - R - 80
Davis - D - 81
Carter - R - 81
Eshoo - D - 80
Wilson - D - 80

Average age of the Senate is 64. Unbelievable.
Look at the difference between Feinstein and Grassley.

A recession is when your neighbor loses his job.

A depression is when you lose your job.

A recovery is when brandon loses his job.
