Spin Zone / Re: Final Thoughts on the Spin Zone
« on: January 04, 2016, 11:22:50 AM »
The only left for the dyke moderator to do is post a list things you are permitted to discuss, and the positions you MUST take when discussing them. Good facist that she is, and all.

I do still like her as we go way back on boards, but FWIW, liberal/progressive rules are a form of fascism.  I have been saying that for a while now.  When you shut down thought, and discussion because it might "offend" it is a scary day.  Everything can offend.
You hurt my feelings with that post you bastard.

Ummm... That's a painting, not a photograph.

You serious?! Wow,  fooled me!

While it's true that 200+ years ago religion seems to have played a bigger role in everyday life for people, the truth is today the consequences of world leaders actions is far more dire than it was back then. Back then, if a king or president decided to go to war based on prayer, the worst that could happen is that leader could lose his position, or his government, or his country, but today a bad decision to go to war could cost us all of humanity.

The cold war has been over so long, that people seem to think extinction by nuclear war is a thing of the past. It is still a very real and present danger. It is actually pretty scary how limited an exchange has to be to end our time on this planet.

I feel sorry for people who believe they are the highest power in the Universe.

Your bigotry is so showing

Are you talking to me?

If and when a commander in chief must decide whether or not to launch a war, I'd prefer that decision be made using logical analysis based on the best available information. As opposed to what Revelations foretells or what a voice in his or her head tells them to do while on their knees.

If that's bigotry, then so be it.

I'll continue to visit POA, but it doesn't feel the same.

Ditto.

I'm actively holding back a bit from posting there.

Just don't care for how the whole thing was treated.

It won't take two weeks. The snowflakes and the lunatics will band together to pillage everything that they never worked for, and call it social justice.

Laughable are your posts about make believe racism and white privilege. But you know that.

Don't be so tough on him. When people are raised in a hot house of stupidity posing as journalism, they grow up to think the things they read really are truth.

Maybe I'm too pessimistic, but we're now living in a world of PC craziness where the right to no be offended is speading like cancer, the government knows no bounds with regard to taxing or spending, police are militarized and respect few civil rights, and we have no privacy from either the government or business.

If you're looking for the beginning of the end, we passed that a while back.

Vetting works both ways, or not at all.
What we have for the last thirty years, is a press corps that seems to take orders from the DNC, and then do everything in their power to obey. Those press corps members also engage in flat out lies to damage conservatives and pump up progressives, which is why so few people actually trust them anymore.
My distrust of Republicans has nothing to do with the news cycle and everything to do with them not adhering to conservative values.

It was a hit piece. And you're right; I'm not sure what Politico changed in the body of the story, but they removed the word "Fabricated" from the headline. Interesting.

To his credit, Carson has faced this head on, and addressed it in multiple venues, including a press conference.

The Daily Caller addresses his campaign response pretty well:

Some may say that this "vetting" is necessary. Yes, sometimes. But making a federal case about one word - "scholarship" - in a book written 25 years ago, about his recollections from the age if 17, is over-the-top "gotcha" journalism.

But I'm sure Politico is going to be running a piece soon about how young, aggressive attorney Hillary Rodham was fired from the staff of the Watergate committee.

And that's the hypocrisy of the left media.

So long as the Judicial and Legislative branches allow the Executive to continue unabated nothing will change unless it is to get worse.

A lawless, imperial President is the single greatest threat foreseen by the Founders and is specifically why we have separation of powers, and the Bill of Rights.

Since Congress has repeatedly abdicated their responsibility (most recently with the budget, Iran and pacific trade deals) it would be insanity to expect anything different from them.

As for the Supremes, they are part of the problem at this point having given up on any semblance of evaluating against the Constitution and instead choosing to continue to legislate from the bench.  The Roberts Court will go down in history as extremely damaging.

We are witnessing the slow death of the shining city on a hill, not as we feared from the outside, but from the inside exactly as Khruschev threatened.

^^^^^^^This!  Since the Dems have the mainstream media on their side, as well as government, and education they can get away with illegal laws, and violating the Constitution at will with immigration, Obamacare, use of government agencies to penalize conservatives, etc.  If the Republican do any of this stuff, the media would be howling, and create public outcries, and thus political pressure.  The Dems don't have to worry about that.  Double standard, and hypocricy anyone?

Yep. Remember, it's the REPUBLICANS wasting "millions" of dollars investigating Hillary's lies on Benghazi, even though it was Hillary's lack of candor, obstruction of Justice, hiding or destroying evidence, and outright lies that caused the need for hearings in the first place.

The locker room part is strange enough.  But let's go back one more step.  How is it possible to want to be another gender?  No one loves boobs more than me, but I want them on a woman, not myself.
