Can anyone think of any of the crazy, horrible things that the left said Trump would that he has actually done?

He banged a porn star and said "pussy" a few years ago.

What I don't understand is why the Hillary team thought all the spying on Trump was necessary.  The election was in the bag.  So much so that they didn't bother to campaign in several states (that they ultimately lost).  Why go through the time and effort and money to do all this if they thought they had an easy win?

The thing that most liberals forget is that the Constitution's context is as a document limiting the power of the State.  NOT a document that grants rights to the people.  The people have rights and the Constitution limits the power of the State to control those rights.  If the Constitution is read in that context then the intent of the Founders is much clearer.  The first part of the second amendment, "A well regulated militia..." is the focus of the Left.  The second part "...shall not be infringed" is the focus of the Right, is the context of the Constitution, and the limiting statement on the power of the State.

Studies have shown that children know inherently it is wrong to strike another child, for example. There is, of course, further conversation to be had about self defense, etc. But that doesn't change the fact that there appears to be a morality inherent in us.
Gotcha.  I don't disagree.

The context I'm using is the analogy that there may or may not be an objective reality.  All we know about reality is through our perceptions.  Enough of us agree about our perceptions that we can operate as though there is an objective reality.  (Example: the Matrix.  Do we KNOW we're not in the Matrix?)

Same thing with morality.  There may or may not be an objective reality.  But enough of us agree about our perception of morality that we can operate as though there is an objective morality.

Of course this was immediately perceived as racist.

Nope. That wouldn't have been an issue, and you're confusing this case with a different one.

Maybe I'm confused.  Are there two similar Colorado gay cake issues?  The original issue that's going to the Supreme Court said:

"In July 2012, Craig and Mullins visited Masterpiece, a bakery in Lakewood, Colorado, and requested that Phillips design and create a cake to celebrate their same-sex wedding. Phillips declined, telling them that he does not create wedding cakes for same-sex weddings because of his religious beliefs, but advising Craig and Mullins that he would be happy to make and sell them any other baked goods." Court of Appeals No. 14CA1351

Trump: New plan: same as the old plan.
Maybe, maybe not.  Trump did what any good CEO or president should do: describe strategic goals but leave tactics to the generals on the ground.  Predictably the MSM slammed the president for not giving any details.  DUH!  Imagine Roosevelt saying, "OK, so we're going to invade Normandy on or around June 6th and withdraw the majority of our troops a year later."  Yeah, that's a good idea.  No, we're going to go in and kick ass and we're not going to tell you how we're going to do it.  But be assured that your ass is going to be kicked.

Is there anything global warming can't do?
Yep.  That's why it's called "climate change" now.  Until it doesn't change and then it will be "climate stasis" which requires massive transfer of wealth to make it change.  Or stay the same.  Or whatever.

I disagree. Even if Trump resigned or was impeached and removed, Pence would become the next President, followed by Paul Ryan and so on. Our system of government is well in tact.

I would expect that a new vice president would be selected by Pence and approved very quickly before Ryan rose to the presidency.  It's hard to imagine someone worse for the job and more universally despised than Ryan.

“At the root of all this is an immoral desire to continue the transfer of wealth from the poorest in this nation to a handful of the richest,”

How does this even make sense?  The poorest have no money.  How can there be a transfer?  Of course in their minds reducing the amount that taxpayers give (at the point of a gun) to the poor is a transfer to the rich.

Beyond politics, I think that the "culture of me" has infested professional sports.  Football and basketball used to be team sports.  Now it's a bunch of individuals kind of working together.  A guy getting paid millions of dollars a year does a "look at me" dance after making a tackle.  Hey -- you're doing what you're being paid to do!  Get on with the game.  And how about those other 10 players that made what you did possible?  And you -- why do you have to dangle from the basket after putting the ball through?  Enough!  Kaepernick is simply an extension of the look at me, I'm special mentality infesting pretty much everything and is making sports unwatchable.  The commentators adding their political views makes it very much worse.

The corner cases are the ones that matter and that define the "rules" for all the other cases.  Those corner cases are the most difficult, most controversial, and the ones that force you to really examine your conviction to whatever belief you hold.  90% of the issue takes 10% of the time.  The other 10% of the issue, the corner cases, takes 90% of the time to get right.  The corner cases can't be ignored simply because they are very hard and test convictions.

The Russians could not have possibly hacked the election.  Obama told Putin to "cut it out" and "stop it" way back in September.

And if you're a farmer with lots of land and equipment but very little cash, what will your children do?  Sell everything to a mega corp to pay the taxes?
