Vetting works both ways, or not at all.
What we have for the last thirty years, is a press corps that seems to take orders from the DNC, and then do everything in their power to obey. Those press corps members also engage in flat out lies to damage conservatives and pump up progressives, which is why so few people actually trust them anymore.
I keep hearing that, but have yet to see how the Feds legally trump the sovereign states on this matter.
Political polarization sells, so that's what is produced instead ethical journalism.
The dangerous part isn't the amount of political editorial, but rather, that the line between news and editorial has faded. This is the expectation now—so much so that any outlet not clearly in a person's camp, is accused of being in the other. Political zealots won't even entertain the idea that a source is neutral.

I thought Bridge of Spies was very well done. It was interesting to see the beginnings of the U2 mission. A pilot once told me he knew a U2 pilot who fell asleep at cruise. When he woke up, the plane had gently landed itself in a field.
I don't know, John. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and thus the GOP Establishment, are all supportive of "Immigration Reform" a/k/a amnesty.

When Obama gave NASA a new mandate to make Muslim countries feel good about their contributions to science he created another reason that we don't have a manned space program.
NASA's mandate should be related to space and aeronautics.
