If you've studied his career, you know that he only plays to win. He's no one's stooge.

I wasn't one of the people that thought he was in it to lose.  Years ago, I read two of his books.  Yes, there was a lot of "I am so great" in them, but one thing was clear, he was a very driven man, that had one goal in mind.  Make great deals, that made him a lot of money (win).  He also has a lot of vision, and was able to get deals done with cities that nobody else was able to do.

Could it perhaps been because of the DNC platform?

I think it was a combination of things.  Many are tired of the Big Government, and high tax solutions TO EVERYTHINGING that the Democrats always push.  Some of it was just Hillary, a very flawed person, and very flawed candidate.  She has a mean, selfish, dishonest persona, and no real personality.  She also provided no plan, nor any solutions, just bashed Trump.

They're about the EC being outdated and counterproductive.  Everyone would like to think their votes count, but with the EC that has never been the case.  That's one of the things the founding fathers got very wrong.

The major population centers (large metro areas) already control entire states, and are all Democrat.  Look at New York state.  Democrat NYC metro area dictates everything to largely Republican upstate New York.  If we abolish the EC, this situation would get even worse.  It would be mob rule, and instead of a Republic, we would be a straight Democracy which is NOT what the Founding Fathers wanted as they knew mob rule would be destructive.

Ah, the admitted communist who was so blatant he had to be exiled from even the B.O. administration.

That's him!  He is the epitome of the angry, far left, radical, hate American Communist.  He hate that we elected Trump because it shows we are taking our country back, and do not want Communism, but we do want the rule of law, and the Constitution, and borders to matter.

I consider myself pretty Conservative, but I also have Libertarian leanings.  I am very much a Constitutionalist, and believe we have Natural Rights as human beings, but the Constitution just enumerates certain rights, not all of them.

Some may consider me a moderate in that I don't care if LGBT people get married, believe in a safety net for people down on their luck, and don't care if people do drugs.  Just don't look for my money if you are wasting your life doing drugs.  Some say Moderates are people without convictions.  I don't agree with that at all.  Sometimes viewpoints are like a Chinese Menu and you can pick and choose which ones you want.

Lefties going crazy.  Because throwing a tantrum is how a democracy works.  ::) ::)

Liberal/Progressives are like spoiled children.  If they don't get their way, they have a hissy fit.  A lot of it was just an excuse to smoke dope, drink, and go create mayhem en masse.

Steingar seems to be laying low everywhere since he had the prop strike. I wish he'd come back, I enjoyed seeing opposing view points.

That's right he did have a prop strike.  An M20C lands differently than a Cherokee.

Exactly.  Heck, I thought he was an HRC plant.  Wrongfully I might add.

You were not alone.  Many said that Trump "didn't want to win" and was purposely undermining his campaign so Hillary would win.

Do we have an admitted "libs" left? Haven't seen Steingar in a while.

I think he means JeffDG, and Kristin who were very actively anti Trump, and gave him NO SHOT.  I guess I must be a Trumpkin now.

So you are saying had Hillary been elected we would be seeing the types of protests we're seeing now?

No.  Republicans have lives, responsibilities, and jobs.  They can't afford to march in the streets, leave school, and violently protest.

All the hand wringing from the Democrats.

Hillary won the popular vote!
Trump isn't my President!
We are going to violently protest in the streets!
Trump should be *********

Where was all this when the ultra radical Obama was elected?

No their "solution" would be to tax the tree.

Or tax the rain that falls on the tree like Governor O'Malley did in Maryland.

Republican House, Democrat Senate for 'W' in 2001-2003.

This is the first time the Republican's have had the White House, the Senate and the House since 1928, literally not happened since Herbert Hoover, almost 90 years ago.

'Gimp

Thanks Gimp.  My memory must be failing.  :)

Agreed, but there should be no wavering relative to the wants and wishes of the left.  The citizens of the United States gave full control of the country to Team R last night.   No more progressive light.  Capitalism and and the ideal of a smaller government need another shot at salvaging this great country.  The war was won...now as gracious winners Team R needs to heed the wish of those who put them in office last night.  This is not the time for white flags and group hugs.

I agree.  NO MORE PROGRESSIVE LIGHT.  Trump has two years of a Republican Congress.  USE IT to right Obama's wrongs, and be creative with policies to allow private sector growth while not increasing debt, which means grow the economy.
