I don't care if it is non-PC. The left doesn't, so why should I.
I want RBG off the the SC ASAP. I don't care if she retires or if God calls her home.
I also think the terms for Justices of SCOTUS should be time limited. Maybe 30 years or so, but some limit.
The report I heard said that it was a small tumor and localized to the body of the pancreas, with no sign of metastasis. That could be untrue, of course, but if it was caught incidentally and early, there is no reason she couldn't have beaten the odds on this one. The main reason pancreatic cancer is so deadly is that it is rarely diagnosed until it is very advanced.
Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg has just completed three weeks of radiation treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, the U.S. Supreme Court disclosed Friday.
The radiation therapy, conducted on an outpatient basis, began Aug. 5, shortly after a localized cancerous tumor was discovered on Ginsburg's pancreas. The treatment included the insertion of a stent in Ginsburg's bile duct, according to a statement issued by the court.
Doctors at Sloan Kettering said further tests showed no evidence of disease elsewhere in the body. The treatment comes just months after Ginsburg was operated on for lung cancer last December. The 86-year-old justice has been treated for cancer in various forms over the past 20 years.
While pancreatic cancer survival rates have been improving from decade to decade, the disease is still considered largely incurable. According to the American Cancer Society, for all stages of pancreatic cancer combined, the one-year relative survival rate is 20%, and the five-year rate is 7%.
This belongs with religious cannon and some fairy tales as things people believe in that have no proof whatsoever.
The people that have an irrational hate for Trump typically show their maturity by the name calling they use not only for Trump himself, but Trump supporters. Remember we were all "Trumpkins" by a former participating member? But, I've also seen, Trumplings, Trumpanzees, Trumpeters, Trumpettes, Trumpies, and many other little schoolgirl type names. Very telling.
If there is no impending recession why is Trumplethinkskin acting as if there is one? He's asked the Fed for a 0.75% rate cut. Last time they did one that big was I think 2009. Now he's looking at payroll tax cuts, which will balloon the deficit by hundreds of billions of dollars. These are moves you make when the economy is in trouble, not when it's as strong as he's been claiming.
I have access to the VA system, but have never even thought of using it. It would be a last ditch desperation move.
This is a little known secret. We can negotiate cash out of pocket and sometimes it is LESS than the copay if we go through insurance. That’s how screwed up the system has become.
Also screwed up is the whole idea of “PCP”. Your general doctor used to handle most of your issues and you had a close relationship with him with mutual trust. Not any more. Dealing with the PCP these days is getting more difficult. People are turning to doc in a box for minor things. They take walk ins, they don’t grill you about your whole health picture other than the basics necessary to treat your minor ailment, and they act like they appreciate your business. The last three visits I made to urgent care were a pleasure. In and out in an hour. The last three times I moved and just tried to get in with a new PCP were a nightmare. I had to pull teeth just to get the first appointment.
