Spin Zone / Re: What DID Timmy See?

A United States Marine was taking some college courses between assignments. He had completed 20 missions in Iraq and Afghanistan . One of the courses had a professor who was an avowed atheist, and a member of the ACLU.

One day the professor shocked the class when he came in. He looked to the ceiling and flatly stated, GOD if you are real then I want you to knock me off this platform. I'll give you exactly 15 min..'

The lecture room fell silent. You could hear a pin drop.. Ten minutes went by and the professor proclaimed, 'Here I am GOD, I'm still waiting.'

It got down to the last couple of minutes when the Marine got out of his chair, went up to the professor, and cold-cocked him; knocking him off the platform. The professor was out cold.

The Marine went back to his seat and sat there, silently.

The other students were shocked and stunned, and sat there looking on in silence. The professor eventually came to, noticeably shaken, looked at the Marine and asked, 'What in the world is the matter with you? 'Why did you do that?'

The Marine calmly replied, 'GOD was too busy today protecting America's soldiers who are protecting your right to say stupid stuff and act like an idiot. So He sent me.'

Spin Zone / Re: Dems Change Rules to Make It Easier to Raise Taxes

I’m not quite sure this really makes any difference and I don’t understand the big deal. Does this just mean they now only need a majority rule for a tax increase to come out of Committee?  The House has always been majority rule for its floor votes.

Currently the house needs 3/5ths super majority vote to pass any new tax increases.  That's been lowered to a simple majority.  Since they hold the majority, then with the new rule they don't need any republican votes.  Of course, getting it through the senate and the WH is a whole 'nother thing.

But these dumbasses, just like Harry Reid, don't realize what they are doing will come back to bite them.  Apparently they believe they will be in control of the house from now on.

If a shut down happens it will be barely noticed by the public.

Many agencies of the federal government are already funded and will continue as normal.

Americans want border security, and they want immigration laws followed.  And I think they agree with Trump and are willing to back him on this.  Of course, the MSM and progressives will go nuts, but what's new?

The "Nancy and Chuck Goes to the WH" show is just yet another blunder by the dims.

No doubt I'll be excoriated for pointing out the the Democrats are still in the minority in the House and will continue to best until next month.  I might also point out that they can't unilaterally do much without the cooperation of the GOP controlled Senate.

 Of course.

But, it shows their intent which is horribly misguided.

Remember, Harry Reid thought it was a great idea to do away with the 60 vote rule on confirmations.  Look at how that came back to haunt them.

Those who understand their adversaries are more likely to win in the end.

That's not what he was referring too.

They have absolutely nothing and so now they are trying to retroactively create crimes that didn't exist so they can somehow accuse Trump and anyone associated with him of something, anything, so they can overturn the election and accomplish their desperate soft coup.

 Agreed.

The amount of reaching, and attempting to connect dots where no dots will connect is astounding.  And in their quest they don't realize they could be opening a Pandora's box (congressional sex allegation slush fund).

We have clearly reached a point in this country where we have a two level legal system.  The rule of law, and the presumption of innocence has been thrown out the window. Those in a particular political class are exempt from prosecution, while others can be declared guilty until proven innocent using interpretations of laws that stretched to the point of being nonsense.

Spin Zone / NDA's are now Illegal
« on: December 13, 2018, 07:13:08 AM »

So now the MSM wants us to believe that NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement) are illegal.  One can't pay "hush money" because, well, somehow this is a crime (I'm still looking through the laws to see what the actual crime is, still can't find it).

The same MSM has also tried to convince everyone that "collusion" is also a horrible crime, yet that's another one that can't be found.

Anyway, according to the "pundits" sitting around the glass top tables on the cable news, if an individual is running for office, and uses his or her own money and directs a lawyer to enter into a NDA with someone, this is somehow a "campaign finance violation"......even though the money didn't come from the campaign and the lawyer was not executing the NDA on behalf of the campaign.

So now that the dims have threaded this bizarre version of a non existent law, let's run with it.  The WH needs to declassify the congressional documents that reveal which congressmen that congress has made NDA payouts in behalf for, oh, BTW, using a slush fund with taxpayer dollars (congress tried to keep this secret, you and I didn't need to know).   If any of these payouts were made in an election year, a year the congressman was running for election, let's prosecute them under this new reading of the law.

 Seems fair, right?

Any day now Obama will show up and tell us he did this.

Of course.  He spent 8 years blaming Bush for all of his failures and now he wants all the credit for Trump's successes.

Spin Zone / Re: Evening with the Clintons
« on: December 13, 2018, 06:52:51 AM »
The Clintons are grifters.

Bill Clinton was the icon of the democrat party, and held overwhelming support from them even though he was a rapist and woman abuser.  Bill Clinton even had to pay off women (Paula Jones) to get them to go away.  And when the dims were crying "every woman needs to be heard" his wife Felonious was busy discrediting and smearing, and even threatening Bubba's accusers into silence.

Felonious is a psychopathic liar and is devoid of any personality. Before the election of 2016 she proclaimed how "unpatriotic" it was that Trump would even possibly not accept the outcome of the election that she was suppose to win, yet for 2+ years all we hear from her is how it's everyone's fault (except hers) that she lost.   She has utterly fucked up everything she has touched in her political career and had it not been for the FBI and DoJ (thanks BHO!) covering for her she would be locked away.

The truth about these shysters is a bit inconvenient to their devote followers.

The US has honest to goodness gosh grievances against the Chinese that were not addressed by the Short Fingered Vulgarian's Processor.  I do think the Mango Mussolini is going about it all wrong, though. I think the thing to do with the Chinese was to use back channels and fairly private communications to get the point across.  His brazen diplomacy by Twitter has caused Xi Jinping to loose face, and the Chinese are all about face.  He can't negotiate, he'll loose that much more face.  He has little choice but to retaliate, or he'll appear weak. But in retaliating he appears strong, and it gets good internal consumption, making him that much more popular.

Xi Jinping is ruler for life, which means the only way he's going to stop being ruler is if he dies.  If he appears weak those who would like to supplant him are going to try and arrange just that, and he knows it.  One needs to look no farther than Libya to see the fate of dictators who loose control of their fates, and no farther than Syria to see the lengths dictators will go to to keep from losing control.  I think these sorts of autocrats needs to handled carefully, something for which a Secretary of State and fully functioning Department of State can be a big help.  A pity Trump savaged the latter.

 What an inane diatribe.

Any guess which prominent democrats were included in the 26 democrats who voted for the Secure Fence Act of 2006 when it passed the Senate 80-19?

There you go with facts again.....

Since the perfesser doesn't like to actually read (easier to have Wolf Blitzer or Don Lemon tell him) I can fill in a few:

Sen Diane Feinstein(D)

Sen Joe Biden (D)

Sen Barack Obama (D)

Sen Hillary Clinton (D)

Sen Chuck Schumer(D)
